The release of the Warmind expansion for Destiny 2 was less than 48 hours ago. However, one player has already achieved a feat that many Guardians probably won’t accomplish even during the entire Season 3. He can already call the new top weapon from PvP – Redrix’s Claymore – his own.

What is it about? With the Warmind DLC for Destiny 2, a major PvP innovation has entered the game. Bungie introduced competitive rankings in the Crucible with Warmind. Guardians can earn points and rank up there. Different rewards await at each promotion in two playlists.
In the competitive list, there is a particularly good pulse rifle to be earned with Redrix’s Claymore. To obtain the weapon, one must reach the fourth of six tiers in the Glory ranking. This task, which is usually very elaborate and time-consuming, has now been mastered by a particularly skilled PvP player. IBlinx is likely the first proud owner of a Redrix’s Claymore after only 12 hours.
What is so special about it? This is an extraordinary achievement by the player. To obtain this weapon, one must be very good and above all victorious in PvP. Because only victories in the competitive playlist help on the way to the necessary Glory ranking tier.
The personal rank increases when matches are won, but it also decreases when matches are lost. There are winning streaks, but there is also a loss system that works similarly. If players lose several matches in a row, they lose more and more points.
“Normal” players will have to spend an enormous amount of time in the competitive area of the Crucible until they reach the fourth tier. Many will not even overcome this hurdle.
In contrast, IBlinx achieved the fourth tier in about 12 hours of gameplay and 86 wins without a single loss and is now enjoying his reward. Whether he is indeed the first player to achieve this exceptional feat cannot be said with certainty yet.
Although many Destiny influencers, including Bungie, congratulated him on this success, the studio has not yet confirmed whether IBlinx is truly the World-First player with the Redrix’s Claymore.
However, even if someone achieved it before him, it is still an outstanding achievement and is rightly celebrated as a huge success by the community.
What do you think about this success? Do you have your sights set on the Redrix’s Claymore as well? Or have you already accepted that you will never get this weapon?
