Players have long awaited the start of the first Iron Banner in Destiny 2: Episode 2, but with the beginning of next week, it is finally happening. In line with this, Lord Saladin brings a new armor set that makes you a Viking.
When does the Iron Banner start? The first Iron Banner in Episode 2 starts on November 26, 2024, at the Weekly Reset (6:00 PM CET). How long the event will last is not known. In the last blog post from Bungie (via bungie.net), the developers initially spoke of the “first week”.
It seems possible that Bungie will set the duration of the Iron Banner to two weeks. This would give fans enough time to grab new items like the rocket pistol or the “Iron Resolve” armor set. What exactly awaits you next week will be revealed in the upcoming part.
New armor for all Viking fans
What does the armor look like? Each class receives an armor set. This is a completely new set for the Iron Banner. Here you can catch a first glimpse of the armor:
Bungie has drawn inspiration from Vikings here, as many ornamental designs hint at Nordic armor. All outfits have padded gear pieces to avoid freezing in cold weather. The Warlock also has a subtle helmet with two horns and a large visor.
The highlight of the Hunter is definitely his cloak, which drapes over the chest armor, resembling a wanderer.
The Titan is depicted here massively. His helmet and shoulder plates resemble the head of a Nordic hammer. Unfortunately, the helmet has no glass visor and is completely covered in metal.
Are there new weapons? Yes, but currently only one. Bungie has designed a rocket pistol with the element “Stasis.” This can drop with perks like Small Change, Chill Clip, and Air Trigger.
Which mode will be active in the first week? In the first week, Bungie will have the mode “Control” active.
That was all the important information about the upcoming Iron Banner event. What do you think of the new armor? Which one do you like best and are you excited about the new weapon? Let us know! More Destiny 2 can be found here: 5 of the rarest things in Destiny 2 that only a few players have
