In Destiny 2, we show you Cayde-6’s treasure maps and locations of Cabal supply depots. This is how you get them.
Cayde-6 is your man for open worlds in Destiny 2. Throughout the campaign – and especially after the campaign – he has some quests for you to pursue.
These include:
- The Flashpoints – weekly activities where you need to complete public events at target locations.
- Treasure Maps – Cayde offers treasure maps that lead you to loot.
- Patrol Missions – Cayde is also the man responsible for patrols, short tasks in the open world.
Below, we show you how to get the treasures from the treasure maps.
Treasure Maps – How to find Cayde’s Hides in the EDZ
Once you have completed the campaign, you can visit Cayde-6 in the social space. He sells you several treasure maps for 4800 Glimmer. In the launch week of Destiny 2, these are EDZ Treasure Maps – meaning the treasures are hidden in the European Dead Zone.
And these treasures are worth it: They can contain all sorts of tasty items, from mods and emblems to blue and legendary items, and even exotic engrams! Sometimes there are also journal entries in there that you can turn in to Cayde-6.
After buying the treasure maps, the locations will be displayed on the map with a pike symbol: you cannot mark the locations – meaning you will only see the approximate find location. You will have to search for them yourself on-site. In the launch week of Destiny 2, three treasures are located in the east of the European Dead Zone, one treasure is in the gorge, and one treasure is in the north above the sludge area.

Cabal Supply Depots in the EDZ
When you are roaming through the open worlds, some days you will see the challenge indicating that you should collect supply depots. There are different supply depots on various worlds – from the Cabal, the Vex, the Fallen, and the Hive. These depots are boxes scattered throughout the world. But how to find them efficiently?
In these supply depots, Cayde-6 again proves useful. He sells you scout reports for 1250 Glimmer. Choose a scout report for the respective world where you need to search for supply depots and use the report in your inventory. Now, nearby loot depots will be displayed to you for four hours – for you and your fireteam.
Now it’s best to take the Sparrow and zoom through the worlds. When you pass a depot, it will be shown to you with this chest symbol:
If you need Cabal supply depots in the EDZ, the area “The Sludge” is recommended. For the challenge, you only need to find three pieces. They can be discovered in the sludge within minutes. Otherwise, here is a video guide:
