2 Auto Rifles Compete with Hard Light
In the current sandbox of Season 10, auto rifles stand out as the best primary weapon in general. Additionally, they benefit from the seasonal artifact that contains strong mods for the category. We want to introduce you to the two crown contenders among auto rifles who want to fill the power vacuum now.
SUROS Regime – the exotic crown contender
The exotic auto rifle SUROS Regime has had a good reputation among players since Destiny 1 and was already the PvP dominator long ago. Guardian veterans refer to this era as the time of the white queen.
Unlike Hard Light, the SUROS is carried in the kinetic slot and allows for other combinations with special weapons. For example, you could use the Mindbender shotgun. Due to its exotic properties, the SUROS can even turn around almost lost duels and grant you victory.
Skilled players utilize the rapid-fire mode and start shooting even before the actual encounter. This empties the magazine, and they increase the fire rate early. This way, the enemy has nothing to laugh about. Just be careful when facing more than one opponent, as you will often need to reload.
The Summoner – the legendary crown contender
The Summoner came to Destiny 2 as a Trials weapon in Season 10. The legendary auto rifle has quickly become as feared as it is sought after. Currently, it is probably the best non-exotic option for duels in the Crucible.
Like Hard Light, the Summoner is also equipped in the energy slot. Therefore, you do not need to use any different weapon combinations than before. I myself successfully used the Summoner in my victory at the streaming event for MeinMMO.
Keep an eye out for this roll:
- Barrel: Arrowhead Brake
- Magazine: High-Caliber Rounds or Ricochet Rounds
- Perk 1: Moving Target
- Perk 2: Elemental Capacitor or Snapshot Sights
This setup gives you almost perfect recoil control and provides you with numerous passive boosts to your stats through your perks. However, be aware that with Elemental Capacitor, your chosen subclass has an influence on the bonus.
As also shown in the above statistics, the two auto rifles are currently already more popular than Hard Light. This is probably also due to Guardians wanting to test which weapon will become the new king on the PvP throne.
