Many players are currently eagerly awaiting more info on the upcoming major autumn expansion Destiny 2: Beyond Light. And it looks like it will finally happen this week. We will tell you where and when.
What is the new expansion about? This autumn, Destiny 2 will finally continue. Beyond Light will launch on November 10 – the first of 3 more planned expansions. This marks the beginning of an addon trilogy that will continue into 2022.
Bungie has already roughly introduced the new Beyond Light. However, since then official information has been scarce, and many curious Guardians are waiting for more details on the next big addon.
Exclusive new insights into Destiny 2: Beyond Light
As Geoff Keighley, a well-known Canadian gaming journalist and host, as well as Bungie announced on Twitter, there will soon be new details about Destiny 2: Beyond Light.
When? During the “Opening Night Live” event of this year’s gamescom. The ONL starts on Thursday, August 27, at 8:00 PM German time and runs until 10:00 PM.
Where? Either here with us on MeinMMO or on YouTube via OpeningNightLive.com.
What exactly? They haven’t gone into too much detail so far. According to Geoff Keighley, we will get an exclusive new look at Destiny 2: Beyond Light there.
Bungie further clarified the whole thing with the words: “Embrace the Darkness. Tune in for a closer look at Stasis”
By the way, enemies will apparently also be able to use this new element: Destiny 2: These 3 races could also gain the new Stasis powers
What are the gamescom and the Opening Night? The gamescom is one of the largest video game fairs in the world and is normally based in Cologne.
However, this year it will take place in a special form due to Corona restrictions – namely completely digital. For this, the fair has formed partnerships with Twitch, YouTube, TikTok, and also with us from Webedia Gaming (namely MeinMMO, GameStar, and GamePro).
The gamescom will run from August 27 to August 30. There will be various livestreams that will provide you with many new infos and details. And one of the highlights is the Opening Night right at the beginning of the virtual gamescom.
