In Destiny 2, things are usually fast-paced. But away from the action, a somewhat different video is causing amazement. Read what makes this visually stunning nature documentary so fascinating.
Many Guardians rush through Strikes or patrol areas on various planets in a hurry. The boss should be defeated quickly to drop their loot. Afterwards, the player leaves the area. They head off without delay to new adventures on other planets.
In doing so, one thing gets lost: an eye for the surroundings. Hand on heart, when was the last time you admired the beautifully diverse world of Destiny? Exactly that was also thought by the YouTuber Solar Flair.
Unlike many other Destiny videos, his work is not dominated by intense PvP montages. You won’t find tips for builds or impressive fights against raid bosses. Solar Flair dedicates his video to the flora and fauna of Destiny 2, staging the events like a “National Geographic” documentary.
Cut and Action – breathtaking Destiny documentary
This is what the documentary shows: At the start, calm music accompanies the empty, desolate, even dystopian landscapes. The camera sweeps over the depopulated backdrops of celestial bodies like Nessus or Titan and areas of the EDZ.

From minute 2:30, the music intensifies. The soft strings are joined by thunderous timpani. The score, by the way, is taken from the official Destiny soundtrack. The viewer witnesses how more and more bright colors and lights break through the bleakness.
Finally, from minute 3, a Cabal appears. Almost appearing startled, it watches the viewer warily from its hiding place. Then the fauna takes over: more and more creatures of the wildlife (enemy races) populate the scene. We see wild Hive patrolling their hunting grounds or become spectators as a Taken Knight defends its habitat.

Shortly after minute 4, the musical accompaniment takes on a more dramatic tone. The focus is now on massive constructs as well as hypnotically pulsating crystals that rise ruggedly and bizarrely. Spectacles resembling the Northern Lights adorn the night sky, and surreal shapes captivate the viewer.
As the images become increasingly impressive, the soundscape also swells. By the end, the flora has reclaimed the scene, and the video closes with a telling shot of a security camera.

Why was producing the video harder than one might think? Capturing the camera movements must not have been easy. Because in Destiny 2, there is no so-called cinema mode. Players cannot change perspectives afterward or hide their Guardian.
Bungie also blocks many third-party services, including programs for video recording. However, crafty Guardians constantly find ways to break out of the given perspective.
