Less than two weeks from now, the next season of Destiny 2 will begin. However, official information is still scarce. When will we finally learn more?
As early as March 5, the Season of the Wanderer begins, marking the 6th season in Destiny 2. A week later, the second premium DLC “The Joker’s Wild Card” is expected to launch for all owners of the Annual Pass.
This is what more and more fans are asking themselves: Given the approaching end of Season 5, some fans are becoming anxious and wondering when Bungie will finally break the silence.
Normally, new content is presented weeks in advance. However, regarding Season 6 and the next DLC, only a rough outline from the roadmap for 2019 is known so far.

This is what Bungie says: Bungie has officially addressed the fans’ concerns for the first time.
In a conversation with fans on Twitter, Community Manager Cozmo has now reassured that new information about the Season of the Wanderer will be available next week. Fans will not have to wait too long.
He has already revealed a cool detail about the upcoming season. It looks like Guardians can look forward to new pinnacle weapons. There will be first details on that next week as well.

It is not known when exactly the new details will arrive. Cozmo did not mention a specific date.
What is known so far about Season 6? Season 6 is called “Season of the Wanderer” and starts on March 5, 2019.
The following content will be available to all owners of Destiny 2:
- New décor rewards
- New triumphs and lore
- New rank rewards for Gambit, Crucible, and Strikes
- Iron Banner
- A currently unspecified spring event
- A new exotic quest
Players with the Forsaken expansion will receive:
- New max power level 700
- New maps and private matches for Gambit mode

According to the current status, owners of the Forsaken yearly pass can expect the following content:
- Access to “The Joker’s Wild Card” weapons and gear
- Xur bounties
- A new Gambit experience, likely a new mode
- A new exotic quest, likely involving the return of the exotic hand cannon Thorn
- A new weekly quest within “The Joker’s Wild Card”
- Additional new triumphs and lore books
Bungie has already revealed these additional details:
- These changes are meant to make Gambit more appealing in Season 6
- Changes to weapons and armor pieces for Season 6
