The developer of the popular Item Manager Ishtar Commander for Destiny 2 threatens to withdraw the app if the community denies him a special request. What has happened?
Developer blackmails the Guardians: The loyalty to a faction has already seemed almost religious for some fans in Destiny 1. Not much has changed in the context of group battles in Destiny 2. However, the developer of the Item Manager Ishtar Commander is now taking a step further with his declaration of faith and even “blackmails” the Destiny community with his dominance.
No “Future War Cult” victory – No Ishtar Commander anymore
FWC, or the app is in trouble: The Ishtar developer called on the Guardian community via Twitter to pledge support for the currently running second faction rally of Season 3 for the Future War Cult (FWC). Because he wants to finally have his faction-specific pistol.
To add more weight to his request, he threatens to withdraw the Ishtar Commander app otherwise and later emphasized that it is definitely not a joke.
Since for many fans the popular Ishtar Commander along with other item manager apps with their convenience features have now become almost irreplaceable, many guardians are now following his call, as can be seen from numerous comments on Twitter and Reddit.
The community is having fun: Whether this time it will lead to victory for the Future War Cult and the developer will get his pistol remains to be seen. However, this fun FWC propaganda action has certainly brought a lot of good mood, funny debates, and quite a few laughs among the fans.
Some supporters of other factions are not backing down and do not want to negotiate with this Future War Cult terrorist or be blackmailed. For others, the world with the Ishtar Commander is simply a better place, and they see no other choice. Yet others consider the FWC to be the only right decision in any case.
