In Destiny 2 you can now obtain the Exotic bow Wishender. However, the quest will soon be unavailable for several weeks.
Dreaming City changes: When the first strike team mastered the Raid “Last Wish”, a curse was unleashed that spread over the Dreaming City. This curse has been growing stronger in the past weeks – and in the Destiny week since September 25, it has reached its peak.
The Broken Throne is only live during this phase: As Bungie has now confirmed, the endgame activity The Broken Throne is only available in the final curse phase when the Dreaming City is completely possessed by the curse:
3-Week Cycle of the Dreaming City
The Broken Throne closes its gates: According to the developers, you have until the next weekly reset on October 2 to dive into the depths of this “mini-raid.” Because then the peak of the curse will be over and the Broken Throne will close again.
When does the Broken Throne return? It has now been officially confirmed that the Dreaming City has a 3-week cycle. In three weeks, the curse will be strongest again, and then you can play the Broken Throne again.
What does this have to do with the Exo Bow?
Wishender is linked to the mini-raid: You can only obtain the Exotic bow “Wishender” if you master the Broken Throne once. After that, you need to play a mission in the Shattered Isles to return to the Broken Throne to eliminate secret enemies.
At the end of this quest, you will receive the Exotic bow. We have summarized all the information about the Broken Throne and the Wishender quest in a compact manner.
For many, the mini-raid comes too early: In the current Destiny week, most Destiny 2 Guardians probably still have too low power levels to handle the Broken Throne. Because enemies with power between 570 and 590 await you there.
Bungie emphasizes that you now have three more weeks to prepare for this activity and to sufficiently increase your power level. We show you how to efficiently reach power level 600 here.
What about the Malfeasance? During the week of the final curse phase, another Exotic quest for the Malfeasance went live. To do this, you must kill a special primeval in Gambit.
Many Guardians are now wondering whether this boss can only be found and killed this week – and then again in three weeks. We currently do not have an answer to that. There is still no official information from Bungie on this.
What do you think of this 3-week cycle?
