The time until the new DLC in Destiny 2 flies by. A new trailer has revealed further insights into the vibrant metropolis DLC today, January 31. The latest trailer reveals which modern weapons and equipment players will have available in Neomuna.
This is shown in the trailer: In the latest trailer, Bungie shows in a premiere the new weapons and Exotics from the upcoming DLC Lightfall. The Currulus technology of Neomuna is thus within reach.
The trailer showcases the new ability “Strand” in full action. Guardians will soon be able to create what are called Threads in the “Lightfall” DLC. These are bundles of quantum strands that remain after enemies are disassembled. These Threads are used by Guardians to weave objects and creatures or for other weapon-related purposes.
- Titans can generate three projectiles through Strand with their barricade that rush at enemies and roll over them fatally.

These are the new weapons and Exotics from Lightfall
In total, there are 4 weapons to see. First, the already known, nanotech-optimized Exo-auto rifle “Quecksilbersturm” and three others that are still unknown.
- Last Warning – This first Strand pistol fires homing rounds that track nearby enemies.
- Deterministic Chaos – A Void machine gun that rhythmically weakens enemies when firing. Every fourth shot weakens enemies, and the 16th shot destabilizes opponents, triggering a nice, devastating explosion.
- Winterbite – A truly massive and exotic Stasis glaive that freezes enemies upon contact with frost shockwaves, making them vulnerable to follow-up attacks.

For the exotic armors, there are also three exclusive views for the green ability:
- Cyrtarachnes Facade – This Exotic helmet offers extra protection, as Hunters gain armor and flinch resistance while aiming.
- Hoverjump – When Titans use their barricade with this Exotic leg armor, it generates homing projectiles that bind enemies and grants its wearer armor.
- Thrall – This new Exotic leg armor allows Warlocks to create a Threadling that infests and attacks enemies after they destroy a Thread.
Catalyst upgrade for Quecksilbersturm: The trailer also shows an update of the pre-order item “Quecksilbersturm”. Players who have the exotic auto rifle can generate Strand Threads with kills through grenades via the catalyst upgrade that can be thrown at enemies.
When is the new DLC coming? Destiny 2 “Lightfall” will be released on February 28, 2023.
