Images have surfaced on Reddit revealing new details about the Crimson Days in Destiny 2. Some of the rewards have also been leaked. Here’s a summary of what is known so far.
What happened? The dataminer and Redditor Ginsor has scoured the game data of Destiny 2 for news following the release of Update 2.1.4 last Tuesday. He came across fresh details about the upcoming Valentine’s Day event “Crimson Days”.
This is what the leak reveals about the event: Specifically, Ginsor was able to fish out some icons and emblems as well as an image with the event’s description from the data. He also stumbled upon some of the new rewards that players will apparently be able to earn during the event.

What is known about the event:
- The point of contact for the event will be Lord Shaxx
- You will form a bond with a friend and can collect sweets in the shape of hearts together
- You can use these candies to earn rewards and celebrate the festivity in style
- There will be new triumphs through which one of the rewards can be earned
- There will be double engrams with each level up after level 50. For each Brand Engram, there will also be a Crimson Engram.

This is what the leak reveals about the rewards: The leak likely does not show all the rewards that will be available during the festivities. But the following prizes are already known:
- a new emote “Tiny Bow”
- 2 new sparrows
- the exotic ghost shell “Sugary Shell”. Many Destiny veterans will likely recognize this shell as it was already available during the festivities in Destiny 1. It can apparently be earned through triumphs

- the legendary bow “The Oath”. The bow comes at Power Level 650, apparently with fixed rolls and as a masterwork of level 10

- the ornament “Shot Through the Heart” for the event bow
What else is known about the Crimson Days? Officially, Bungie has only briefly commented on the event so far. Aside from the new start date on February 12 and the hint that this year’s festivities are expected to run similarly to last year’s, little else is known.

The Crimson Days itself is a Valentine’s Day event in Destiny 2. This celebration has now become a tradition and was already celebrated in its predecessor. The Tower will be festively decorated in the colors of love, and guardians can put their bonds with their best buddies to the test during the week.
