Today marks the start of the first Iron Banner in Season 2 for Destiny 2. There are some changes – and new weapons.
On this Tuesday (January 30th), Lord Saladin takes his place in the Tower again to welcome the Guardians to the Iron Banner. He has been absent for several months.
The reason: At the beginning of December, Season 2 started, which changed some requirements for activities such as the Iron Banner. In order for all Guardians – including those without the “Curse of Osiris” DLC – to participate again in the Iron Banner and earn its loot, Bungie had to implement several updates. And now, at the end of January, nothing stands in the way of Lord Saladin’s return.
The first Iron Banner in Season 2
In Season 2, the Iron Banner remains a one-week PvP event where you play in 4v4. Power level advantages are disabled, and there is a normal player search. During the Iron Banner, you can earn special Iron Banner rewards.
You must have unlocked the Tower, i.e., complete the main campaign.
You must be at least Level 20.
Then visit Lord Saladin to start an Iron Banner quest.
The Iron Banner has its own playlist in the Crucible overview that you can play.
