The first Guardian reaches the highest level of the competitive Glory leaderboard in the Crucible of Destiny 2. After this extraordinary achievement, OneSecondKill can now officially call himself a Legend.
One top performance chases the next: Shortly after the release of the Warmind expansion, the community was quite amazed. Within just under 12 hours of playtime, the first Guardian already reached the fourth of a total of six ranks in the competitive PvP leaderboard.
As a result, he was the first to receive the highly coveted weapon Redrix’s Claymore, which is awarded for reaching the fourth rank.

Now another Guardian has managed to climb to the sixth and thus highest rank of the Glory leaderboard just a week after the introduction of the Crucible Ranks.
OneSecondKill is the first to become a Legend
First at Rank 6: The player OneSecondKill reached the sixth rank “Legend” in the competitive Glory playlist on May 15, probably as the first player worldwide. He reported this on Twitter.
Along with a lot of congratulations from the Destiny community, there was also a special ornament for the Redrix’s Claymore, which allows him to showcase his achievement visually.
Furthermore, Bungie also congratulated the overjoyed Guardian. The studio cannot yet confirm that OneSecondKill is indeed the first player worldwide to achieve Glory Rank 6, but they can certainly confirm that he is fantastic.
Since no one else has spoken out and fans have not discovered anyone else with comparable performance on third-party sites like DestinyTracker, it is almost certain that OneSecondKill was indeed first once again. For when he achieved the fifth rank of the Glory leaderboard, he was the global leader.
Why the excitement? This is once again an absolute top performance of a player. To get that far, one must not only be very good in PvP – on the way to Legend, only wins in the competitive playlist help.

Because the individual rank increases when games are won, but it also falls when one suffers a defeat. There are winning streaks, but also penalties for losses. So if players lose several consecutive matches, they lose proportionally more points.
Average players are unlikely to even reach this hurdle. But even good PvP players will have to invest a lot of time in the competitive playlist if they want to get that far as well. For a streak of 96 consecutive wins, like in the case of OneSecondKill, is anything but easy to accomplish.
He doesn’t have any special secrets. While playing, he relied on his skills and on meta weapons like the Graviton Lance and an Antiope-D SMG. Moreover, he was both solo and in a team.
What about you? Are you also on the way to Legend? Or are you still struggling at Glory Rank 1?
