In two weeks, a new activity will start in Destiny 2. Why you should start saving for it now and what other information we have about the “Empyrean Foundation,” you can read here.
What is happening in Destiny 2? Currently, the Season of Dawn is underway in Destiny. Osiris, his time machine, and Saint-14 are the focus for a little over a month, before the still unannounced Season 10 starts in March.
A look at the roadmap shows that a new seasonal content awaits us on February 4: Empyrean Foundation. The activity is supposed to be freely accessible to all players of Destiny 2. In this article, we summarize what is known about Triumphs, quests, and significant investment.

Empyrean Foundation – What we know
At this moment, not much is known about the actual course of the activity. However, we already know that you need to put on your generous pants.
That’s why you should save now: A proud 5000 units of Polarized Fractaline are to be donated, more precisely invested, during the activity. It seems we will build something bigger with the Fractaline we donate.
What exactly will be financed through our donations, we will probably only see at the end of the season or at the start of Season 10. What else you can do with Polarized Fractaline, we have summarized in this post:
A new boss is here: Just in time for the start of the new activity, a new boss will join the Sundial. The fourth and final Psion Flayer is named “Inotam, the Threefold Forgetting.”
Whether the boss will be a combination of the three original Psions or stands on its own can only be speculated at this time. At least the nickname “Threefold Forgetting” suggests speculation about some kind of fusion or a best-of Flayer.
This is what we know about quests: Currently, quests that are linked to the Empyrean Foundation can already be found in the Light.gg database.
During the tasks, you will have to prove yourself in the Sundial and snag a core. This item must be charged with spheres of Light and integrated into the Tower Obelisk.
The roadmap indicates that the Empyrean Foundation will be accessible to all players. However, the Sundial is only available to owners of the current Season 9. Whether these are separate tasks or if all users may visit the Sundial is currently unknown.
Title Hunters finally become the “Savior”: With the arrival of Inotam and the activities surrounding the Empyrean Foundation, Title Hunters can finally complete the seasonal title.
So far, three Triumphs are still missing for the prestigious title:
- Defeat Inotam
- Defeat Inotam in the legendary version of the Sundial
- “Torch-Bearer” – For this Triumph, you must complete the restoration work on the Empyrean Foundation (likely through donations).
If you have overcome these last hurdles, you may finally call yourself “Savior.” The final Triumph also grants you a shader with the promising name Lighthouse Sun.
