In Destiny 2, the live-action trailer has been released before the launch. It states that it is time to protect puppies from psychopathic space rhinos – or something like that.
Yesterday, there was already a teaser: “Reload, guys.” Something was supposed to be presented tonight, Wednesday, about Destiny. Some thought: “This could be an update for Destiny 1” – After all, a leak was circulating, but it turned out to be something else: a live-action trailer.
The one for Destiny 2 is the third live-action trailer in Destiny’s history. The first was for the release, and the second was before “The Taken King.”
A live-action trailer does not rely on in-game graphics but on “real people” – traditionally accompanied by a song from the band “Led Zeppelin” in the first Destiny. For Destiny 2, however, they rely on the Beastie Boys with “Sabotage.”
In principle, these trailers are “let’s be as badass as possible and make it really explosive.”
In the trailer for Destiny 2, Cayde-6 appears and gives a lecture to three young, presumably freshly awakened Guardians about what they have lost. Everything they liked about Earth is gone: mustard, binge-watching The Walking Dead, and ramen shops (in German, döner stalls) – all gone. Even the innocent puppies had to suffer. And what is left is now also what this psychopathic space rhino Ghaul wants to destroy.

After the rather humorous speech, the trailer switches to the usual “As badass as possible” mode. We see super abilities and the really powerful weapons being used against the space rhinos and their dogs.
By the way: There are again regional differences in the trailers. The “ramen shop” is turned back into a döner stall in German. Because there were complaints last time about it not being “German” enough, they even included a curry sausage and a white sausage – even with pictures in the trailers. Other languages have different images shown there.
