In one week it will be time: Destiny 2 will be released for PC! Those who do not have the necessary spare change, but have time and a World of Warcraft account, can even get the MMO shooter for free and start the download without paying real money.
With Destiny 2, PC players will finally get to experience the MMO shooter Destiny from Bungie. After the great success of the first part, it was only a matter of time until Destiny received a PC version.

The Battle.net – an unexpected opportunity
Destiny will be integrated into Blizzard’s Battle.net and the associated launcher. This has several advantages.
Because the game is available in Blizzard’s network, it can be purchased with Battle.net credit. This credit, in turn, can also be earned in the MMORPG evergreen World of Warcraft with enough time, patience, and knowledge about WoW tokens (WoW Tokens).

If tokens are bought for real money, players can sell them in WoW and receive WoW gold in return.
Conversely, players can use enough in-game currency to buy tokens and convert them into 30 days of playtime or 13 Euros of Battle.net credit. This way, players can legally convert “WoW gold” into “Blizzard euros” and use it to get Destiny 2, for example.
From Azeroth to outer space with the WoW token
The price of tokens is determined by supply and demand. At the moment, however, the value is extremely high. The pre-sale of Blizzcon tickets has recently driven it up, as the tokens have become more popular as a result.
Currently, a token costs 271,969 gold (as of October 17 at 12:15 PM). The following overview shows how much gold is needed for which version of Destiny:
- Destiny 2: 5 tokens = 1,359,845 gold
- Destiny 2 Game + Expansion Bundle: 7 tokens = 1,903,783 gold
- Destiny 2 Digital Deluxe Edition: 8 tokens = 2,175,752 gold

It should be noted that with fractional numbers, always round up to the next highest number, even if the value is 0.1, as tokens can only be redeemed in full. So if you have a few Euros left, you might get lucky and save a whole token.
There are various methods to accumulate WoW gold. The most popular ones are listed here:
Gold through Farming
“Farming” means that a player actively moves around the map or through dungeons to effectively gather herbs, ores, leather, or other items.

For most players, farming is the easiest way to collect gold. It is not necessarily the most effective, but is usually the most reliable. On larger realms, it may take a little longer due to greater competition in gathering and selling.
The method that is probably used by the vast majority of the community is farming currently needed crafting materials. Traditionally, ores yield the most profit. At the moment, this method also seems relatively effective.
Gold through Economy
Using the auction house requires a bit more patience and understanding of the game’s economy. Although it is also used to sell your materials. However, if you really delve into it, you can make enough gold to support your subscription for life through trading.

There are roughly two ways to rake in gold through the auction house: selling extremely rare and expensive items, and the steady buying and selling of goods.
The first variant does not necessarily require much prior knowledge but requires a lot of patience. Players pursuing this strategy specifically look for rare items that promise a lot of gold at once. These are especially transmogifications, mounts, and pets.
What it’s about with mounts and pets is relatively clear. Rare horses and dogs yield more than those which anyone can find without much effort. You just need to be well-informed about which animals promise what profit and how they can be obtained.

Transmogifications are a bit more complicated because the numbers can easily be distorted. On the one hand, the value of items that have not been found in the auction house for a long time increases. On the other hand, some items share their appearance. Here, thorough research on what brings gold and what does not is essential.
Once you have gathered your stock of trade goods, it’s time to wait. Because these items are known as “slow sellers,” they can easily gather dust on the auctioneers’ shelves for weeks or months before being sold. Only with a lot of luck will one get rid of them at once for a lot of gold.
For the Wolves of Wall Street

The second option is to trade all sorts of goods. In plain text, this means: buy cheap, sell expensive. Almost like on the stock market. Without the right addons and tools, it is nearly impossible as there will be at least one person on each server who uses exactly these and handles them better.
In simple terms, you should get a trading addon, such as TradeSkillMaster, and then study it thoroughly. It takes a long time to get used to it, to get to know the server’s economy, and to know what pays off when.

The major downsides are: the more people do it, the less lucrative it becomes. Additionally, depending on the server, one may need about a million gold as starting capital, a high tolerance for frustration, and the willingness to keep trying until it works.
Effectively reaching the goal – time is running out until release!

The easiest is farming and selling crafting materials. Occasionally, rare items can also be obtained, for example, when picking herbs or when a rare enemy appears on the route.
It is advisable to send a character with two gathering professions and empty bags to maximize collecting and carrying capacity. The yield is about 20,000 to 30,000 gold per hour, depending on the server and competition. In converted terms, this means:
- Destiny 2 can be farmed in 45 to 68 hours,
- Destiny 2 Game + Expansion Bundle in 63 to 95 hours and
- Destiny 2 Digital Deluxe Edition in 72 to 108 hours.

The time is therefore short, and the token will likely not become cheaper in the coming time. However, if you have nothing planned for the weekend, you might be able to get Destiny 2 “for free” next week.
Skilled WoW players who have stockpiled WoW tokens are in for a treat! Because a few months ago, the price for the WoW token was still significantly lower.
