This weapon has been discovered: In the official reveal trailer of the Season 10, an interesting discovery was made: A Guardian holds a very striking auto rifle.
We want to delve deeper into why it is assumed to be an unannounced weapon Exotic and why this massive weapon seems familiar to many.
Where do we know this auto rifle from? The weapon has a very distinctive look. It has a four-part barrel and quite large rounds, which probably make quite large holes. The auto rifle looks martial, bulky, and its design is reminiscent of the Cabal Exotic Skyburner’s Oath.
Which brings us to the topic: The new auto rifle is another Cabal weapon. This time it is the artillery of the monstrous Cabal Colossus. The most famous bearer of this weapon is likely the strike boss “Valus Ta’aurc”.
This perspective is also shared by Redditor AudaX19_68. He goes into more detail about the similarities and receives much support from the community.
This is likely an Exotic: On one side, the special appearance supports that we are dealing with an Exotic. But another reason also validates this assumption – and it comes from an official source.
The auto rifle is only briefly seen in the trailer but is positioned exactly between two confirmed Exotics:
- The Exotic automatic rifle Tommy’s Matchbook appears first
- The Exotic returning 4th Horseman is seen right after the auto rifle
Furthermore, the trailer titles the sequence with the words: “Find every advantage – New exotic quests and weapons”. All these are strong indications that we are dealing with an Exotic.
