In Destiny 2, Guardians can no longer use the Stasis aspect “Diamond Lance” since this week. The reason is a glitch that allowed Titans to fire this ability at insane speed. MeinMMO knows how long you will have to do without the aspect.
What exactly happened? A few days ago, YouTuber Cheese Forever released a new glitch for the Stasis aspect of Titans, the “Diamond Lance”, which spread like wildfire in the community.
The glitch turned Stasis Titans into spear-throwing PvE tyrants, allowing them to throw an infinite number of Diamond Lances at breakneck speed at their enemies for 10 seconds. This worked as long as they had not fully charged their Super. This ability became an extremely powerful boss killer in PvE as well.
Although it took some practice to execute the glitch, it wasn’t long before more and more Titans were encountered in Destiny 2, turning their opponents into a “Stasis Cactus”.
In Eli’s Twitter video, aka Sweatcicle, you can see that even raid bosses, like “Morgeth” from the Last Wish raid, were helpless.
According to the player’s own statement, it was a crazy 36084 Diamond Lances that he and his Titan team threw at the Ogre at insane speed, just to take him down with this ability.
Bungie has noticed this: On early Friday evening, the developer put an end to the Titans’ “machine-gun adventure”. Bungie informed the Destiny 2 community via Twitter that the Stasis aspect “Diamond Lance” will be locked until a fix is ready.
What exactly is the Diamond Lance? The Diamond Lance is a Stasis aspect of Titans and has been a frequently used ability for general add-clearing since its revision by the players.
- When defeating enemies with Stasis abilities like Shatter damage, a Stasis Lance is created.
- The Lance is picked up and carried for a few seconds until it disintegrates.
- When thrown, the lance deals damage to the target and freezes it. Alternatively, you can slam the lance into the ground for an area attack.
- The Diamond Lance can also be picked up by the team. Multiple can be active on the field at the same time.
How long will the aspect be disabled? By now, Bungie has also communicated the timeframe in which Titans have to do without their cool aspect. As dmg04 revealed on Twitter, the targeted fix date is the start of Witch Queen, which is February 22.
However, he also emphasized that this could still be delayed. The Titans will have to wait at least until that date and hope that Bungie will provide the fix then.
