Is this the best Warlock build in Destiny 2? It’s said to be “most overpowered” – in PvE and PvP.
If you plan to switch to the Warlock class soon, or if you’ve been playing Warlock for weeks but haven’t found a strong build yet, you can try this one out.
This Warlock build is presented by JumpinProduction in the video. It’s considered the “Most Overpowered Warlock Build”, which provides extremely short ability cooldowns and is useful in both PvE and PvP. Especially in PvE, it’s top-notch:
How to Create Your Warlock Build
Choose the Voidwalker subclass along with the lower skill “Devour”. This is considered one of the best skill sets in the game. The special feature is the perk “Devour”. When you defeat an enemy with your melee attack, it refills health and activates the Devour effect. This lasts several seconds and causes every additional kill to regenerate health.
Additional perks ensure that Devour lasts longer and kills recharge grenades. The grenade energy can then be used to reactivate Devour. If done skillfully, the Devour effect can be active indefinitely, making it nearly impossible to defeat.
The Vortex Grenade is used as a grenade. This continuously drains life from enemies trapped in the vortex. The Axion Bolt Grenade is also recommended here. Also, take the Healing Rift.
Note: You can also use the upper skill Chaos Reach. Both are good for the build. However, the Devour keeps you alive better.
The most important “ingredient” for this build is the exotic helmet Nezareks Sin. You can obtain it randomly from any source that can drop exotic engrams. Xur can also bring the helmet.
Nezareks Sin has the special perk that Void kills accelerate ability recharge. Void kills not only refer to ability kills of the Voidwalker but also to kills with energy and power weapons. In other words, every Warlock subclass, not just the Voidwalker, can benefit from this helmet. Therefore, Nezareks Sin is currently considered one of the best exotics in the game.
- For the Helmet, equip a mod that speeds up grenade recharge when using a Void subclass.
- For the Gauntlets, equip a mod that speeds up grenade recharge when using a Void subclass.
- For the Chest Armor, use a mod that reduces recoil of kinetic weapons. This is not essential for the build.
- For the Leg Armor and the Class Item, you can use mods that improve recovery.
Overall, the Guardian has 1 Mobility, 4 Resilience, and 10 Recovery.
The weapons:
- The kinetic weapon is not crucial for the build. The Guardian chooses the MIDA Multi-Tool.
- The energy weapon, however, is crucial. Here, the Guardian takes the The Claw, the auto rifle from the Trials of the Nine. But you can also take Uriel’s Gift. The main thing is that the gun deals Void damage.
- As a power weapon, a Void sword is recommended, such as the raid sword “She Stared Back”.
How Do I Play This Build?
The application of the build is simple: Grab your energy weapon, shoot at the enemies, and make use of your abilities, especially the grenades that are frequently available to you.
With the Devour effect, you can slice through enemies aggressively and still stay alive. Take a Void sword that allows for quick kills, and with each kill, you’ll be instantly recharged – while also regenerating your abilities.
In short: If you play as a Warlock, you should definitely try out this character setup.
