In Destiny 2, cheating has become much harder now. The cheaters are not happy about this. They are complaining and providing curious justifications, but this results in a lot of laughs.
Why are the cheaters angry? Recently, Destiny developers Bungie took legal action against a major cheat seller. This is a provider of cheating software that sells things like aim bots, wallhacks, and other unfair advantages. These cheats have plagued the PvP for quite some time.
The seller “Perfect Aim” then informed its customers that they were very sorry, but cheat support for Destiny 2 had to be discontinued due to legal demands. Even though they weren’t sure if they were actually violating any licenses or other conditions.

Players of Destiny 2 mock salty, angry cheaters
Some of the, well, not-so-fair Destiny players didn’t blame Bungie or justice for the ban. No, they blame the nasty YouTubers and streamers.
These YouTubers are always complaining in their videos that they can’t sweat properly in the Trials.

Now, a few of the mentioned YouTubers have made a joke by reading the comments of the annoyed cheaters on Twitter or in the forums of the cheat providers.
Among them are the generic comments you would expect – things like:
- Will I get my money back?
- Can I still use my cheats?
- Are there new cheats for Beyond Light?
- Where can I buy cheats now?
These are the funniest comments: Content creators like Aztecross and Fallout (in the thumbnail) are also digging through much funnier contributions from cheaters:
It’s actually sad that Bungie is going against a site [Perfect Aim] that has helped so many people get better at the game. I even enjoyed the cheats and got better at the game.
In response to the question of why people even use cheats, there were also answers – even if there is probably some self-irony involved:
I cheat to compensate for my inevitable virginity.
Some users are now threatening honest players, saying they will go all out one last time and make their lives in PvP hell out of revenge.
Other cheaters are truly retaliating against Bungie:
Just canceled my pre-order for Beyond Light, fuck it, it was a fun time lmao.
YouTuber DFP (Destiny Fun Police) stated on Twitter that Bungie should now “target the other providers that the Perfect Aim weasels are now all running to. Sue them all.” He received this reply on Twitter: “Sue people for playing games the way they want instead of soft banning them?” DFP activates his detective skills and states: “Cheater found.”
This is how Bungie responds: Destiny developer Bungie is keeping a low profile despite the success. However, Community Manager Dylan “dmg04” Gaffner stated (via Twitter): “The fight against cheaters never ends.”
A user points out that many players will soon have no reason to complain. After all, Perfect Aim has been defeated and soon the meta will be nerfed. In response, the legendary (still) Bungie employee David “DeeJ” Dague dryly replied:
Are you also enjoying the salty tears of cheaters? Do you see it like the above-mentioned PvP pro Aztecross? He claims that Perfect Aim was the largest cheat seller for Destiny 2 and that 90% of the hacks came from there. Therefore, the game should soon be a safe place.
