Bungie and Activision want to reach even more players with Destiny 2 than they did with Destiny 1. To achieve this, they are taking the step onto PC, making the MMO shooter more accessible and offering content for both casual and hardcore players.
In short: In Destiny 2, you will encounter a lot of new, inexperienced Guardians wandering aimlessly, babbling words like “Light Level”, “Strike”, or “What the hell is a Gjallarhorn” with a big question mark on their faces, relying on the help of heroic Guardians: Namely, yours!
You may have friends who have resisted Destiny for years, but are considering taking a look at the MMO shooter with Destiny 2. Starting tomorrow, on July 18th, there will be a good opportunity for that: The beta of Destiny 2 will start then.

The Destiny developers plan to offer a barrier-free entry into the Destiny universe for new Guardians: Because all Guardians start over. The villain Ghaul takes away the Guardians’ weapons, armor pieces, and abilities – meaning everyone has to play their way back up from the bottom. Veteran Guardians will only receive cosmetic rewards for the past three years of Destiny.
Nevertheless, the veterans among you look back on a great wealth of experience in Destiny that all new Guardians will lack.
