In the MMO shooter Destiny 2, an exotic weapon is included as a bonus for pre-orders. “Coldheart” is celebrated in a trailer.
In Rise of Iron, Bungie gave pre-order customers a special skin of the cult rocket launcher “Gjallarhorn”, which made a return late in the story of Destiny 1 with the expansion. They did this, quite clearly, to boost pre-orders for the expansion.
Apparently, this worked well, because they’re bringing the trick back again.
From December 5th, however, all players, including non-pre-order customers, should be able to obtain Coldheart.

As Bungie now announces in a trailer, pre-order customers of Destiny 2 will receive the exotic weapon “Coldheart.” Its German name, of course, is “Kaltherz” – what else?
Bungie celebrates this with dancing Cabal, flowing capes in the wind, explosions, and “Ice Ice Baby,” which was popularized at the time by Vanilla Ice.
What is Coldheart? What do we know about the pre-order weapon in Destiny 2?
The type of weapon Coldheart is translated in German as “Spurgewehr” – in the original English it is a “Trace Rifle.”.
Whether this is a new weapon category, we do not currently know. But we will introduce “Coldheart” extensively in an article tomorrow, as “Coldheart” is likely to be brought into the spotlight by Bungie. The weapon is also part of another insight into Destiny 2 together with IGN.

Update: From the weapon guru of Destiny, Jon Weisnewski, there are details about the new Exotic: Coldheart deals Arc damage, is carried in the “Energy” slot, and is excellently suited to deal damage to single targets.
Mein-MMO states: It looks like Bungie has chosen “Coldheart” to be the “Exotic of the Hearts in Destiny 2.” At first glance, the weapon looks like an “Ice Thrower.” Whether Guardians warm up to the Trace Rifle remains to be seen.
They liked the Gjallarhorn in Destiny 1 especially because it was overpowered and broke the balance. That’s how weapons become popular. However, with a pre-order exotic, it would surely be the wrong way to make it too strong. Then non-pre-order customers would be at a disadvantage.
In Destiny 1, they knew this and only gave pre-order customers a skin – they had to earn the weapon itself like everyone else in the game.
Hopefully, Coldheart isn’t too strong, otherwise there will surely be trouble.
