This week, Hawthorne has a new raid challenge for clans. We explain how to master the challenge “Strength of Remembrance” in Destiny 2.
If you are a member of a clan, you have an additional opportunity to earn powerful gear in Forsaken. Hawthorne offers special weekly bounties for clans. These challenges require you to achieve specific feats in the Forsaken raid “Last Wish”.
Strength of Remembrance – How to Master the New Clan Challenge
This is included in the current clan bounty: Clans can take on a new raid challenge this week – “Strength of Remembrance”.
If you want to crack this challenge, you need to successfully complete the namesake weekly bounty that Hawthorne has prepared for clan members this week. The challenge takes place in the new raid “Last Wish”.
If you want to unlock the raid seal and claim the title “Riven’s Bane” for yourself, there is no way around this challenge.
These are the requirements you must fulfill for the bounty:
- You must be a member of a clan. This specific bounty cannot be completed otherwise.
- Your clan must be at least level 4. Otherwise, you will not be able to accept the bounty.
This is how the new challenge “Strength of Remembrance” works: First, you should obtain the corresponding bounty. You will receive it from Hawthorne in the Tower. Once that’s done, it’s time for you to enter the Last Wish raid.
There, you first need to fight your way through to the final boss Riven. The path there and the basic mechanics for all boss encounters, especially the complicated fight against Riven, are explained in our raid guide for Last Wish.
If you are only focused on the challenge and want to save yourself the path to Riven, you can shortcut at the Wall of Wishes by entering the code for the 7th wish.
Once you reach the raid boss, the mechanics of the challenge are quickly explained. During the fight, the players on the upper floor will need to shoot 6 eyes of Riven.
The additional challenge now is that during this phase, each of the 6 team members may only shoot one eye of the Ahamkara – so one eye per player. If even one Guardian shoots multiple eyes or if someone misses an eye, the challenge fails.
This makes the already probably most complex fight in Destiny’s history even a bit harder. Perfect communication and coordination of the entire raid team are crucial here.
This is how you can shortcut: In addition to the regular tactic, this challenge can also be mastered relatively easily. This requires a special tactic during the boss fight against Riven, which we will not go into here, as it essentially involves a cheese.
However, anyone who defeats Riven using the currently popular cluster bomb method will also successfully complete the challenge at the same time. The “eye problem” is completely eliminated.
By the way: The cluster bomb tactic can also be executed perfectly with the new heavy machine gun Thunderlord. 6 Thunderlords melt the final boss in seconds.
