Without much fuss and without many announcements, Bungie reveals the first concrete details about the second expansion for Destiny 2. We summarize all official information about the second DLC for you: including the release date of Destiny 2: “Warmind” for PC, PS4, and Xbox One.

It’s time – Bungie lets the cat out of the bag and almost casually announces in the latest developer update the second DLC for Destiny 2.
All official info on DLC II
The second expansion is called “Warmind” and will be released on May 8, 2018, for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC.
As part of DLC II, you will venture to new places, where you will encounter new heroes and new enemies. In new activities, you will also be able to earn new loot.
On April 24, 2018, Bungie has also planned an official reveal stream for the 2nd DLC on Twitch. There will be more information about the upcoming expansion for Destiny 2.
What does the image show? Speculations about the location and setting
For the first official announcement of the second DLC, Bungie also provided a suitable image.
This shows a construct that resembles the SIVA replication chamber from Destiny 1 in its architecture. However, this appearance is also characteristic of Warmind complexes.

At the top center of the image, there appears to be a kind of motherboard with a core of swirling particles – possibly the AI core of a Warmind.

To the left of this construct, you can see an icy glacier landscape, which transitions into red sand dunes and mountains on the right side of the image. This constellation suggests the previously suspected Mars location.

After Community Manager DeeJ recently promised fans an upcoming roadmap update, Bungie followed through on its words and quickly released, along with the name and release date of the second expansion, an updated summer roadmap. This illustrates to the Guardians how Destiny 2 will continue through September 2018.
In the new season, which begins with the launch of the 2nd DLC, there will also be changes for PvP players. The Crucible maps added to Destiny 2 with the “Curse of Osiris” and “Warmind” DLCs will soon be accessible in player matchmaking for players who have not purchased the expansions. In the future, no one will be excluded from the Crucible – even without DLCs.
There is also good news for fans of clan-based PvP duels or fun Crucible rounds in close friend circles. With the upcoming DLC “Warmind”, the popular private matches from the predecessor will finally return.
What do you think of the announcement? And what do you think about the possible setting?
