Some time ago, Bungie made headlines when they posted a job ad seeking a specialist for Destiny 2 from among the fans. The search appears to be over: one of the most important YouTubers in the Destiny community will now join the studio.
Recently, Bungie made waves with a special job posting. The studio was officially looking for a dedicated gameplay expert from within the community.

This person is to be involved in the optimization process of the game and to thoroughly review and analyze Destiny 2 from a gamer’s perspective. The corresponding feedback will then be passed on to the developers, with the aim of aligning the game with the community’s wishes – at least that’s the plan.
There were quite a few suitable interested parties and potential candidates – names like Datto, sc_Slayerage, and My Name is Byf were quickly on everyone’s lips. As it has now become known, Bungie has apparently made a decision.

A well-known expert and one of the most important YouTubers in the Destiny scene will work with the creators of Destiny 2 on the future of the game for at least the next 3 months: YouTuber Patrick Casey, known as Holtzmann.
YouTuber Holtzmann now works for Bungie
As revealed in his recent tweet, Destiny expert Patrick Casey – aka Holtzmann – will work at Bungie on Destiny 2 for the next 3 months. The Guardian community is happy with this choice and feels adequately represented by him. Even though Holtzmann doesn’t stand in the spotlight as much as, for example, Datto or Slayerage, he is not unknown to Destiny veterans.
Holtzmann in Profile
Patrick Casey, aka Holtzmann, is a Twitch streamer, podcaster, and YouTuber. Through his previous work, he enjoys high esteem within the community. He is also considered to be rather calm and thoughtful.
Casey himself is an outspoken Destiny fan. However, this does not prevent him from often giving tough, but also constructive and honest criticism of the Destiny series and clearly addressing the issues.

Holtzmann possesses immense and profound background knowledge about the Destiny series and is both an excellent PvP player and an absolute expert in raids, endgame content, lore, and weapons. His guides and analyses are still very popular among Destiny fans.
Casey was long considered the face and driving force behind the popular community site PlanetDestiny and was significantly responsible for its success during the time of Destiny 1. His weapon reviews and his voice are well-remembered by many early Guardians.
Since he decided to go his own way, PlanetDestiny has never been able to properly compensate for his departure.
Currently, he is also involved in the popular Destiny Community Podcast and often presents himself as the most critical voice when it comes to Destiny 2.

What do you think of Bungie’s decision? Is Holtzmann the right choice or would you have preferred another candidate?
