Maintenance is currently taking place behind the scenes in Destiny 2 . There may be issues.
Anyone wanting to attend to their Guardian duties around noon today may encounter server issues. As Bungie announced via Twitter, maintenance is being performed in the background.
Here is the information:
- Today, on 8th November, maintenance will start at 11 AM our time.
- This is a backend server maintenance. This means the servers will remain online, Bungie is just tinkering with the servers in the background.
However, the developers immediately issue a warning: Errors may occur during this time. If you face server issues, you should try logging back into Destiny 2.
Bungie does not reveal how long these works will last. But if you are hit by error codes frequently this afternoon, you now know the reason.
What changes with the maintenance today?
When developers announce backend maintenance, usually nothing changes for players. The stability of the servers is simply increased. Bungie does not provide any further details on this.
Some users suspect that Bungie may be tweaking something in the background to curb the insane farming method that currently allows over 500 faction tokens per hour. The developers have not commented on this – perhaps it will be quietly removed today.
By the way: A few hours ago, there was an issue on Xbox One where purchased silver did not appear in the game. This has already been fixed.
