A very amusing bug allows more than six players to participate in a raid in Destiny 2!
Raids in Destiny have always been designed for a maximum of six players. Since the release of the Leviathan raid, reports have emerged from players who managed to exceed the player limit.
Until now, only images have been available as evidence for these large fireteams, but now there is even a video!
Video shows more than six players in the raid
The possibilities of reproducing this bug seem limited. All affected players report that this constellation only occurred when players were kicked from the activity and rejoined.

Any players inspecting others currently participating in a raid can see that while there are six players in the fireteam, the maximum player count indicates 6/9. It is currently unknown what causes this bug.
However, it seems that nine players is the limit. The raid instance hosts a fireteam of six players, as well as one of three players. This bug is recognizable by the fact that teammates in the raid are displayed with a blue symbol instead of a green one.
The different phases of the raid can also be played normally with more players. Only during a wipe does the game seem to realize something is off and allows only the fireteam members to be revived. The remaining three players can only watch.

Not recommended for imitation!
All affected players unanimously report how much fun they had with this bug. It is seen as a welcome change. There are no reports of Bungie excluding players who exploit this bug. However, we do recommend not to imitate this if you find yourself in this situation!
The Division players will remember that there was a similar glitch there, but it was significantly more extensive. Fireteams consisting of 20 people were not uncommon.
What do you think about such bugs? A nice change or should Bungie fix this quickly?
