Next Tuesday, the free event “Into the Light” in Destiny 2 starts. Bungie has prepared three streams for the event, and the last one recently showcased two exotic missions that will be returning.
What are these exotic missions? Bungie conducted its last stream for the upcoming event “Into the Light” on April 2. In this, the developers announced two iconic missions that can be revisited with the update:
- “The Whisper” – Exotic mission on IO
- “Zero Hour” – Exotic mission in the Last City
These missions are iconic missions with exotic loot, secrets, and jumping sections. Before Bungie put these missions in the content vault, Guardians attempted many challenges to snag exotic ships and catalysts. This will be possible again, but don’t worry: The missions have been refreshed.
Many Changes and New Loot
What has changed? The exotic missions are meant to be interesting not only for newcomers. Veterans are also supposed to have fun, which Bungie has ensured. The developers have adjusted the missions by making minor changes to the maps.
Enemies have been shuffled, and the intensity has also been adjusted. Locations of known secrets are no longer valid, as the developers have repositioned them. The bosses you will face will also feel fresh and have unknown changes.
Finally, two new ships are expected to await you as secret rewards, and the exotic guns will be unlocked as blueprints. You are free to explore everything, but don’t forget about the timers. Depending on the difficulty you choose, you’ll have to deal with time pressure.
What else will there be? The Crucible is also set to receive three new maps before the DLC “The Final Shape.” The maps include the following:
- A map on Europa
- It is an abandoned research station where Eramis refuels her Ketch
- A map on Neomuna
- It is a futuristic shopping district on Neomuna
- A map on the terraformed Pyramid Ship
- It is a clean map on the Pyramid Ship that the Traveler had shot at
These maps are completely new and have not been recycled. Therefore, it remains to be seen how fresh the maps will actually feel at release.
