With the exotic fusion rifle Telesto, you can currently make life in the new PvE event “The Blind Well” in Destiny 2 very easy. Because with this weapon, rounds can be successfully completed in no time, without having to do much.
What is the Telesto? The Telesto is an exotic fusion rifle and has been classified in the energy slot since the overhaul of the weapon slot system. It fires several Void projectiles that stick to enemies or surfaces and explode after a short delay.

What makes the Telesto in the Blind Well so special? By chance, a Guardian discovered that the Telesto probably unintentionally contributes to progress in the new PvE activity in the Dreaming City. Each individual explosion of its projectiles is registered by the game as a kill – even if you do not hit an enemy.
You can therefore stand in the protection of the bubble during the ongoing event and simply shoot the Telesto at the ground or at the vessel in the middle of the bubble without hitting a single enemy. Once the projectiles explode, it contributes to the progress of the respective wave. The more people use the Telesto, the faster it goes.
With several Guardians, it is possible to complete all waves in no time without really having to do much. In principle, you only need to move from bubble to bubble and then only really participate in the boss encounter.
Telesto in Video: This is not a malicious exploit. This phenomenon occurs passively when you play with a Telesto. For this reason, we have embedded a video without comments to demonstrate the speed at which you can progress through the waves with the help of the Telesto.
Will it be fixed? For sure. This is not a glitch that you have to deliberately and cumbersome induce to benefit from – so it is not really malicious at all. Because even if you play the Telesto regularly and fight enemies with it, the explosions contribute disproportionately to progress. If you kill an enemy, you will still be credited with multiple kills for the individual explosions.
However, it is hard to imagine that Bungie will leave this matter untouched. The question is rather how quickly the studio will fix this issue. It is possible that the bug could already be fixed with the today’s hotfix 2.0.2. However, since this phenomenon was only recently discovered and the today’s fix has been planned for some time, it may be that the Telesto will remain the Guardians’ best friend in the Blind Well for a while.
This is how the Blind Well works
What is the Blind Well? It is a new PvE endgame activity. The Well is located in the Dreaming City and bears similarities to the Court of Oryx, the Archon Forge, and the Escalation Protocol.
How to activate the event: In the Blind Well, you first need to offer a tribute – in the form of Light Charges. These charges drop randomly in the Dreaming City during numerous activities, when opening chests, and when defeating enemies.
There are Light Charges in three tiers, with the level also increasing the difficulty – meaning the power level requirement – of the event. These charges can be used to activate the event in the middle of the arena.
The basic rules: Once an event starts, three to six players face multiple waves of enemies. You can enter with random players or use a Light Charge yourself. To successfully overcome the waves, you need to go to a marked protection bubble and defeat enough enemies from there.
You need to stay in the protection bubble. Because outside the bubble, you will be afflicted with the debuff “Touch of the Deep,” causing you to continuously take damage. Inside the bubble, you receive the buff “Touch of the Sky,” which prevents this.
The Anathema and immune enemies: From the second wave onwards, a luminous yellow-bar enemy called “The Anathema” as well as numerous other enemies with yellow health bars known as “Servants of Plague” will spawn.
The Servants of Plague have an impenetrable shield. To destroy this, you must first kill the Anathema. Upon death, it drops a purple orb. Running over it grants you the buff “Harmony,” which lasts for 15 seconds.
While the buff is active, your abilities recharge faster and you are able to destroy the Servants’ shields. Once the shields are down, any player can eliminate them – even Guardians without the Harmony buff. Upon their death, the Servants of Plague drop additional purple orbs.
The bosses: Depending on the difficulty, you must defeat between one and three bosses.
The bosses at the end of the last wave have the same mechanics as the Servants. They have shields that can only be destroyed by players with the Harmony buff. Get the buff and force the bosses to their knees.
Once the final bosses have fallen, a chest with rewards awaits you in the middle of the arena.
