The last weeks and months have been a torture for many Guardians. While selected YouTubers and press representatives have had the chance to explore Destiny 2 and record countless gameplay materials, the majority of the Guardians had no choice but to passively and grittingly watch foreign gameplay footage.
From today, July 18 at 7 PM, that will be over. Now you can finally take action and dive into a small portion of Destiny 2. The beta phase of Destiny 2 begins!

It will be exciting to see how smoothly the beta start of Destiny 2 will go. The past has shown that during Destiny launches, there are always server problems, error messages, and queues to expect, as was the case almost a year ago at the launch of “Destiny: Rise of Iron”.
We will likely update this article several times to keep you informed in case the servers crash or if Bungie has important announcements to make.

Update 7 PM: Error code “Termite” when logging in!
Update 7:05 PM: Once you can log in, you will need to download 5GB. The first players are in. You can directly choose which class to play after adjusting your screen size and brightness.
Update 7:10 PM: The beta starts with the trailer that you already know from the gameplay premiere: The Cabal are attacking the Last City and the Tower. By the way: Many are still struggling with “termite”. Bungie just reported that the player count is constantly growing and they are investigating the reports.

- The Open Beta for everyone starts on PS4 and Xbox One on July 21 at 7 PM.
- The Open Beta ends on July 24 at 6 AM.
- PC: The beta starts at the end of August.
