In Destiny 2 , Bungie is making the final preparations for the beta. A total of six subclasses are playable.
Since E3 2017, there has been confusion regarding the Guardian subclasses that will be playable in the beta. Luke Smith revealed that beta players can test six focuses. Later, it was said that only the three new subclasses will be available.
This week’s “This Week at Bungie” is entirely about the “Destiny 2” beta and brings clarity.
The focuses of the beta – with English names
A total of six Guardian subclasses are playable. The three new focuses, for which the English names are now known:
- Sentinel: Void Titan
- Arcstrider: Arc Hunter
- Dawnblade: Solar Warlock
And three known subclasses are coming, which have been updated for Destiny 2:
- Striker: Arc Titan
- Gunslinger: Solar Hunter
- Voidwalker: Void Warlock
In the provided links, you can find more information about the “new” focuses.
In the beta, all grenades, melee attacks, and the upper path of the skill tree are already unlocked: You don’t need to play the beta for ages to test the abilities of the new subclasses. However, there is a limitation in the beta: The lower path of the focus overview is reserved for the full version of Destiny 2. The effects of these focus nodes cannot be tested in the beta.
