Bungie packs their bags for E3. Information about the beta is expected.
Just a few hours ago, community manager DeeJ published “This Week at Bungie”. Almost simultaneously, Activision announced their game lineup for E3:
- Destiny 2
- Call of Duty WWII
- Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy
Regarding Destiny 2, Activision revealed this information:
- Activision and Bungie will present Destiny 2 with plenty of hands-on experiences at E3. (It can actually be played there).
- At E3, the Arcstrider Hunter will be introduced. This is the new Hunter subclass. It will be playable at E3.
- And: We should keep an eye out for announcements regarding the open beta of Destiny 2.

This means that there will finally be information about the beta during E3. Until now, official information has been sparse. All we know is that it will happen sometime before the release. When the beta starts and what content it includes – E3 will surely provide an answer.
If you’re coincidentally at E3: Destiny 2 will be playable on “PS4 Pro” consoles – at the Activision booth and the PlayStation booth. A PC version will be available at the NVIDIA booth.
- The Sony press conference, where new footage of Destiny 2 is expected, will take place on Tuesday, June 13th, at 3 AM.
Still a lot to do before the release of Destiny 2
The information from this week’s “This Week at Bungie” is limited. Bungie is preparing for E3 and will provide answers to questions Guardians have had since the gameplay premiere. Community manager Cozmo will also be present and give a behind-the-scenes look at E3.
After E3, Bungie has a lot planned; they want to reach as many people as possible. In early September, they will head to PAX West 2017, where they will have an entire building dedicated to Destiny 2. They will also be present at GuardianCon. And we expect to see Destiny 2 at Gamescom as well.
Interesting: Guardian plays 6924 hours of Destiny – We asked him: Why?
