Recently, Destiny 2 received a smaller update. Officially, it only removed a faulty weapon ornament from the Eververse. However, the hotfix 1.2.1.2 evidently also brought new database entries. Fans have now found new catalysts and concrete hints about the Armsweek event.
Before the launch of the Forsaken expansion on September 4, Destiny 2 will receive a larger update on July 17. The update 1.2.3 marks the end of Year 1 and enhances the game with some additional features. Additionally, it brings the new seasonal event “Solstice of Heroes.”
Smart fans now believe they have stumbled upon further details of the upcoming update.

Details about Armsweek and new Masterwork Catalysts discovered
New catalysts in activities: While sifting through the Destiny 2 database, some community members discovered new entries after update 1.2.1.2.
They found sources for eight additional exotic catalysts that were not previously in the database. According to the data, five of them will be available in activities of a previously leaked weekly event, the Armsweek. The remaining three are likely tied to the raid and the upcoming prestige modes of the raid lairs.
The discovering fans assume that these contents will enter the game with the July update, since for example, the prestige modes for the two raid lairs are also supposed to be introduced with this update.
The sources and properties for the following catalysts are now known
Hard Light
- Source: In activities during the celebration of deadly craftsmanship (Armsweek)
- Upgrade Requirement: Complete the Nightfall Strike Savathûn’s Song with Hard Light equipped during Armsweek to unlock the upgrade. Additionally, reach an unknown value of 1,000 – presumably kills.
- Upgrade Effect: Stability +25,
Rat King
- Source: In activities during the celebration of deadly craftsmanship (Armsweek)
- Upgrade Requirement: Defeat 1,000 enemies with the Rat King to unlock the upgrade. A Nightfall must also be completed, but it is not further specified.
- Upgrade Effect: Aim assist +20, recoil direction +20, “Infestation” perk – improves aim assist and recoil direction. Triggering the invisibility from the “Vermin” perk restores health.
SUROS Regime
- Source: In activities during the celebration of deadly craftsmanship (Armsweek)
- Upgrade Requirement: Defeat 300 enemies in the Crucible during Armsweek and complete the Nightfall Strange Terrain.
- Upgrade Effect: Recoil direction +50, “SUROS Ascendance” perk – increases the chance for health regeneration on kills
The Prospector
- Source: In activities during the celebration of deadly craftsmanship (Armsweek)
- Upgrade Requirement: Defeat 500 enemies during Armsweek and complete the weapons merchant Nightfall with the Prospector equipped to unlock the upgrade.
- Upgrade Effect: Blast radius +40, Weapon Size +70 (the effect of this stat is currently unknown), “Deeper Pockets” perk – increases ammunition reserves
Lion’s Roar
- Source: In activities during the celebration of deadly craftsmanship (Armsweek)
- Upgrade Requirement: Defeat 1,000 enemies during Armsweek and complete the Pyramidion Nightfall with Lion’s Roar equipped to unlock the upgrade.
- Upgrade Effect: Reload speed +30, “Chimera” perk – After firing this weapon, handling and precision damage of equipped kinetic and power weapons are increased for a short time.
Legend of Acrius
- Source: Can be found in the hardest challenges aboard the Emperor’s ship.
- Upgrade Requirement: Reach an unspecified value of 300 – presumably kills.
- Upgrade Effect: Reload speed is improved by 40 points, “Deeper Pockets” perk – increases ammunition reserves
Sleeper Simulant
- Source: Can be found in the hardest challenges of the Astral Spire (Prestige Starload Tract)
- Upgrade Requirement: Reach an unspecified value of 500 – presumably kills.
- Upgrade Effect: Charge time +75, “Accelerated Coils” perk – speeds up the charge
Telesto
- Source: Can be found in the hardest challenges of the World Eater (Prestige World Devourer Tract)
- Upgrade Requirement: Reach an unspecified value of 500 – presumably kills.
- Upgrade Effect: Magazine +60, Weapon Size +40 (the effect of this stat is currently unknown), “Deeper Pockets” perk – increases ammunition reserves
Also, the masterwork catalyst for the Sturm is now in the database, but its source cannot currently be determined.
While such database entries have almost always proven to be accurate, they have not been officially confirmed. Therefore, these details should also be treated with appropriate caution.
