New information about Destiny 2 will be revealed at E3. It is already known: The Arcstrider will be playable.
The E3 will take place from June 13 to 15, 2017. In the days leading up to the event, developers and publishers will hold large press conferences to present their latest hardware and software products to a broad audience. Bungie will also appear with Destiny 2.
Recently, the community manager DeeJ released the “This Week at Bungie” – with almost a day’s delay. In it, he reveals what attendees can test – what gameplay content they will get to see. This mostly includes what people could play during the gameplay premiere in mid-May:
- The first story mission of Destiny 2 called Heimkehr
- The PvP mode Countdown
- The strike “Inverted Spire” – Verdrehte Säule, which offers a 3-phase boss fight

In May, only the Dawnblade Warlock, the new Gunslinger Hunter, and the new Striker Titan could be tried out. At E3, the Arcstrider will be added. The Arcstrider is the new Arc subclass for Hunters, where the Hunter acrobatically spins a “mythical” staff around and slices up enemies.
This means: At E3, we will definitely see more Arcstrider gameplay and likely the complete focus overview.
However: This will definitely not be all that Bungie will show at E3. We expect to see a new trailer, a date for the beta (which is still not officially known), as well as more information.
Note: How the Arcstrider will ultimately be named in English will likely be revealed in the future. At the gameplay premiere, the official translation was “Arkusläufer”, today it is referred to as “Arkusschreiter”. Update: “Arkusschreiter” has now been changed to “Arkusakrobat”.
