Many fans have been waiting for this. Bungie has finally revealed when precisely there will be more information about how Destiny 2 will proceed from March. However, many fans are annoyed by the announcement of an announcement.
Update: Here you can find the revealed information about Season 6.
In less than a week, the new season starts in Destiny 2. But what awaits the Guardians from the beginning of March, no one really knows yet. However, that will change soon.
The new information was given in the stream: Yesterday, the developers from Bungie played the Raid “The Plague of the Past” in the stream and shared a bit about the development of the raid and Destiny 2 during the Raid-Along.
During this, Community Manager Deej casually mentioned that next Thursday (likely Friday night for us) will finally bring details about the upcoming content. A new ViDoc is expected to be released, where the developers will present the new content.

This annoys the fans: Bungie remains true to its communication style. After it was already revealed last week that to expect more information this week, there was again the famous announcement of an announcement. No concrete information or detail snippets were provided.
The presentation of Season 5 and the first premium DLC “The Black Armory” was similar. Up until shortly before the launch, hardly anything was known about the upcoming content. However, many fans are currently irritated and apparently have grown tired of this approach.
While one could joke about it before, the Guardians now emphasize that Bungie is doing itself no favors by completely shutting down communication or only teasing fans with announcements of announcements.

Why are fans so sensitive right now? After the separation from Activision, a big question mark hangs over the Destiny franchise for many:
- What do the upcoming contents look like?
- What does Destiny have to offer its fans beyond the already planned content?
- How will the series continue?
The fans want clarity and certainty at last. More than ever, Destiny 2 needs good and transparent communication, according to numerous Guardians.
However, Bungie’s approach seems to annoy and unsettle the fans increasingly. The fact that they are taking so much time to present the latest content is seen by many as a bad sign. They fear that Bungie simply does not have much more to offer than the return of the Thorn and new maps or modes for Gambit.

Also, the lack of a real statement regarding the future of Destiny 2 after the end of the Annual Pass is not sitting well with the players. Additional setbacks such as the absence of group matches or the indefinite delay of Trials are not really reassuring in conjunction with such communication.
This is what fans wish for: Some fans recall the open and honest communication that took place last year, for example, by Chris Barret during the extensive renovations or in the lead-up to Forsaken. Many wish for that to return now.
What do you think about this? Can you understand the annoyed fans and feel the same way? Or do you grasp the developers’ stance on this matter?
