In the MMO shooter Destiny the cat is finally out of the bag and talks about the PvE plans of the game. It’s about Destiny 2, the expansion in 2016, and the next patch.
This time in the Weekly Update there was the information that players have been waiting for so long.
Destiny 2, Major Expansion, Spring Update – here’s what’s next for Destiny
- A PvE update is set to be released in the Spring. This increases the light level, brings new challenges for PvE players that should be replayable and new gear. (The calendar spring begins in mid-March and ends in mid-June.)
- Later in the year, so still in 2016, a “major expansion” is planned. This would probably be analogous to “The Taken King.”
- In 2017, a “full sequel” is supposed to be released. This would have to be what we know as Destiny 2.
In the coming weeks, Bungie wants to explain to Destiny players in more detail how it will continue and what they are planning. In this Weekly Update from Bungie, there were only these core data and a little more that probably doesn’t interest anyone much.
Mein MMO thinks: There isn’t really much information yet, but at least there is a clear “roadmap” for how Destiny will continue. It seems that the reports were correct, Destiny 2 will be delayed, but other than a “major expansion”, there was really not much hoped for 2016.
