With the release of “The Final Shape,” Destiny 2 will pack many content, activities, and quests into its infamous vault to make room for new content. We will show you the content you will miss in the list.
Why are the contents disappearing? In every new and major expansion of Destiny 2, Bungie always clears out its trash. Many older contents from the seasons of the previous expansion then disappear into the void of the vault and can no longer be acquired or played. This includes items such as currencies, artifacts, ships, sparrows, ghost shells, and much more.
With “The Final Shape“, Bungie will once again clean out, so that Destiny 2 has more space for new content. The H.E.L.M will lose its rooms and will prepare them for further seasonal vendors, who will gain relevance over time. To let you know which contents will actually be lost, we present you a small overview.
All contents that will disappear with “The Final Shape”
Which contents will disappear soon? Blueberrys.gg has created a graphic in collaboration with DTR and Rocketbiscuits, showing which contents will exactly disappear. These affect not only seasonal contents but also items and things that were released with the free event “Into the Light“. We show you the graphic:

The banned items include, first of all, all story-relevant missions as well as vendors of the respective season. Currencies, keys, items, and multiplayer activities will also disappear. Related engrams for focusing items and exotic items from triumphs will also be reclaimed by Bungie.
As for the items from “Into the Light,” the Hall of Champions, the Pantheon, all quests from “Into the Light,” the rare versions of the Brave Arsenal, the Superblack shader, and the parade armors will disappear.
Lastly, there are general items that will disappear. These include:
- The legendary shards
- Crucible, Gambit, and Vanguard bounties
- Mods
- Minor specification
- Major specification
- Boss specification
- Obsessed specification
- Master Nightfall specification
- Resonance alloy
- Harmonic alloy
Especially the legendary shards should be spent before the release of “The Final Shape,” as these will then disappear permanently, leaving a big hole in your wallet. Therefore, use vendors like Eris Morn and stock up on many copies through her Illusory Fragments to stay liquid in case of a Glimmer shortage.
