A Sudden Death – Shotgun from the Trials of the Nine
The last weapon on this list is A Sudden Death – a shotgun for the power slot. The rate of fire is 45, the impact is 80, and the magazine size is 5.
A look at the stats shows that A Sudden Death does not excel in any specific stats. Stability and aim assist (30) are weak. Here are the stats:
The Perks:
Aggressive Housing:High damage, high recoil.
Danger Recognized, Danger Neutralized:Improved reloading, stability, and handling when enemies are nearby.
You have the choice between:
While Sliding:When you slide, the weapon magazine is partially loaded, and range and stability are temporarily improved.
Snapshot Sights:It is faster to use the scope.
Additionally, you can influence stability, recoil, range, and weapon readiness speed with the sights.
In Destiny 1, choosing the right shotgun for PvP was simple: either it had maximum power and range, or it was useless. In Destiny 2, Bungie gave shotguns with low impact a higher range, making things more complicated.
A Sudden Death fires 24 projectiles per shot, with only 9 needing to hit to take down another Guardian. For the shotgun, the perk “While Sliding” is useful, as it immediately increases range and stability. “Danger Recognized, Danger Neutralized” is also top-notch.
If A Sudden Death had better all-around stats, it would be the premier PvP shotgun in the game. But even as it is now, it can be recommended. The perks are strong.
