In Destiny 2 is Season 2 live, which comes with some new Iron Banner weapons. You will be able to earn these guns soon.
Since the launch of “Curse of Osiris”, it should actually only be possible for DLC owners to participate in the monthly Iron Banner event. That was Bungie’s original plan.
However, after a massive backlash regarding the “paywalls” of Curse of Osiris, the developers realized that they couldn’t take away so many activities from Guardians that were available to everyone before the DLC. Therefore, they are currently working on making endgame events like Iron Banner or the Faction Rally accessible to all players again. Only then will they take place in Season 2.
So even though we will have to wait a while for the first Iron Banner in Season 2, we can already take a look at the new Iron Banner rewards. They are already listed in the databases.
New Iron Banner Loot of Season 2 – Weapons, Ornaments, Emblem
Please note that while all Guardians can participate in the Iron Banner again, the new rewards from Season 2 will remain exclusive to DLC owners.
Crimils Dagger – Hand Cannon
All new Iron Banner weapons belong to the “Legendary” quality, including the hand cannon Crimils Dagger. It is a powerful hand cannon with high recoil. The archetype is the same as that of the Sturm. The range is high. Here are the stats:
The Perks:
- First Shot: Improved accuracy and range on the first shot of an attack.
You have a choice between:
- Armor-Piercing Rounds: Rounds deal additional damage to shields and penetrate targets. Slightly increases range.
- Drop Mag: Magazine is ejected when reloading, wasting ammunition but significantly increasing reload speed.
The sights are True Sight HV, Crossfire HV, and Rest Hand HV.
Orimund’s Anvil – Auto Rifle
Orimund’s Anvil is an auto rifle that belongs to the same archetype as the Origin Story or Uriel’s Gift. It deals kinetic damage. Here are the stats:
The Perks:
- Under Pressure: Increased stability and precision when the magazine gets low.
You have a choice between:
- Enhanced Rounds: Increased range.
- Stable Rounds: Increased stability, reduced range.
The sights are OV 2 Classic, Model 6-Cycle, and Type 15 Scope.
