In Destiny 2, the new Season 11, the Season of Arrival, has just started. And even though little is known so far – clever Guardians have already been able to discover some new Exotics.
Season 11 is finally here: The new Season of Arrival is here, and many Guardians have been eagerly waiting for it. Because until the start of the new season on June 9, almost nothing was known about it.
Now Season 11 is live, and many players are eager to earn new Exotics. Here’s a summary of what is currently known about new exotic weapons and armors.

These weapon Exotics of Season 11 are already known
As part of the Season of Arrival, players have discovered 3 new exotic weapons. All 3 are already in the game.
Collector of Drought – exotic grenade launcher
What can this weapon do? It is a new grenade launcher for the kinetic slot.
The exotic perk is called “Prehistoric Torture” and causes the projectiles fired by the weapon to infest the target or the area around the projectile impact with Blight. With the perk “Blight Bank” targets afflicted by Blight take damage over time and transfer Blight upon death to the surroundings.
This weapon is strong against groups, majors, and especially against bosses. It also deals good damage in PvP and can kill active Supers with a single hit. The area damage can also be quite useful there.
Moreover, a masterwork catalyst for this weapon can already be earned. This grants the weapon the perk Silent Alarm, which improves the handling of the grenade launcher. Additionally, the weapon automatically reloads after a period of time when it is stowed away (holstered).
How do you get this Exotic? The weapon is available to purchasers or owners of the new season immediately at level 1 of the new season pass. Players who opt out of the season pass will receive this weapon for free at level 35 of the pass.
Chosen of the Traveler – exotic pistol
What can this weapon do? It is a new exotic pistol for the kinetic slot.
The exotic perk is called Light Collection. This grants each kill with this weapon a “Light Collection” stack (defeating Guardians adds 3 stacks). When the stacks are used (how is still unclear according to the weapon’s description), they grant melee, grenade, and class abilities energy according to their number.
The second perk is Gift of the Traveler. Each “Light Collection” stack improves the reload speed, handling, and aim assist of the weapon.

Decayed Image – scourge rifle
What can this weapon do? Decayed Image belongs to the most bizarre weapons in Destiny 2. This exotic scourge rifle causes Void damage and requires special ammunition. But it gets particularly exciting through its exotic perks:
- Transmutation: Kills with this weapon cause their victims to collapse into Void Transmutation spheres.
- Evolution: Transmutation spheres created by you can be picked up and used as weapons by you or your allies.
You defeat enemies with the weapon’s laser beam and turn them into spheres, which you can carry like relics and perform various actions with – such as light and heavy attacks, as well as a block with area damage.

What about the giant sword and the thick bow from the trailer?
Some players initially saw 2 more weapons in the gameplay that were thought to be potential Exotics:
- a massive new sword
- and a large bow with an unusual shape
However, as it has now been revealed, both are legendary weapons – namely the sword “Falling Guillotine” from the season pass and the bow “Whispering Plate” as one of the new seasonal weapons.
Where are the new exotic armors in Season 11?
The unusual thing about Season 11: No new armor Exotics have been discovered as part of the Season of Arrival – a first in Destiny 2.
Neither in the data nor in-game in the collections are there any entries or hints about new exotic armor pieces even in the far-advanced season. Whether it actually remains this way is not known for sure, but as of now, the situation is: there are none.
