Season 10 has started in Destiny 2 and brings new Exotics for Hunters, Titans, and Warlocks. We reveal what the new armors have to offer.
Where do you get the new Exo armors? The new Exotics from the Season of Worthy are called World Drops. These are items that can come from basically any source.
In every exotic engram, the new armors can be found. In the Nightfall: The Ordeal, for example, you have a very high chance of exotic drops. The noodle-faced Xur can theoretically bring the Exotics on the weekend. Also, the new Season Pass from Season 10 hides some exotic engrams behind the rank increases.
In short: You are dependent on your loot luck.
These 3 exotic armors await you in the Season of Worthy
Each of the three classes has received a new armor Exotic in Season 10. Here we present the special perks and provide tips for playing with the unique items.
Raiju’s Harness – Exotic Hunter Chest Armor
This is what the Hunter Exotic offers: The exotic perk of Raiju’s Harness is called “Mobius Conduit”. It causes:
- As long as your Whirlwind Shield Super (Way of the Current) is active, less Super energy will be consumed when blocking. Press the Super activation button to disable Whirlwind Shield early and save Super energy.
This is how the new Exo armor feels: The Exotic basically offers two improvements for the middle tree of the Arc Hunter:
- Your Super block lasts slightly longer than 12 seconds with Raiju’s Harness; normally, it lasts about 9 seconds.
- Disabling your Super early gives you a noticeable portion of energy back, depending on how long the Super was active. A similar function is found in the Warlock Exotic Geomag Stabilizers.
The Exotic is useful in both PvP and PvE, but only in certain situations. The longer block allows you to reflect a lot of damage, but this is only rarely needed.
In PvP, disabling the Super early can be an advantage. You can set off your Super in a duel and immediately cancel it after a quick kill. This makes your next Super ready for use very quickly.
Citan’s Shield – Exotic Titan Gauntlets
This is what the Titan Exotic offers: Citan’s Shield has the exotic perk “Barricade of Assault”. This enables your team to:
- You and your allies can shoot through your tower-high barricade, which has reduced health and duration.
This is how the new Exo armor feels: The Titan’s barricade absorbs damage, and normally neither you nor the enemies can fire through the barrier. However, Citan’s Shield fundamentally changes the barricade.
You and your team can shoot through the Titan barricade thanks to the Exotic. Both your shots and abilities, such as the Hunter’s Golden Gun, can easily pass through. This makes the barricade similar to the Sentinel Titan’s shield.
As a trade-off, the permeable barricade disappears faster and has fewer health points (about 30%). The Exotic serves you well in both PvE and PvP – especially in the Trials of Osiris, the new barricade should be strong.
Felwinter’s Helm – Exotic Warlock Helm
This is what the Warlock Exotic offers: The exotic perk on Felwinter’s Helm is called “End of the Warmind”. It enables you to:
- Arc, Solar, and Void melee kills create an energy pulse that weakens nearby enemies. Finishers and kills against more powerful enemies increase the pulse radius and extend the weakening effect.
This is how the new Exo armor feels: With this Exotic, you mainly see great advantages in PvE. Every charged melee kill generates a debuff aura that confuses your enemies and reduces their defense by about 30%. Basically, you get the effect of the exotic shotgun Tractor Cannon.
Finishers also trigger the weakening effect even when your melee ability is not charged and also increase both the range and duration of the debuff.
Especially with the improved Void Warlock in Season 10 (Devouring Depths), Felwinter’s Helm harmonizes excellently. With “Devouring,” you heal with every kill and can seamlessly weaken and decimate enemies in the middle of the horde.
