Shotguns in Destiny 2: Forsaken
Both exotic shotguns currently found in the databases are returnees from Destiny 1.
The Chaperone – Shotgun
What is the Chaperone? It is a special weapon in the kinetic slot. This shotgun has also been used in Destiny 1 and is now making its return in Forsaken.

What can this shotgun do? These perks characterize the Chaperone:
- Precision Slug: Fires a single precision slug.
- On the Road: Precise kills grant a temporary bonus to handling, range, and precision damage with this weapon.
This weapon is suitable for: Due to its perks, the Chaperone is expected to mainly be found in the Crucible.
Lord of Wolves – Shotgun
What is Lord of Wolves? Lord of Wolves is a special weapon in the energy slot with solar damage. Many Destiny 1 players are likely to recognize this weapon. This distinctive shotgun has also been used in the first game series and is now making its return with the Forsaken expansion.
What can this shotgun do? Lord of Wolves has the following characteristic perks:
- Shrapnel Launcher: Fires a powerful close-range salvo of solar damage.
- Release the Wolves: When defeating an enemy, the number of projectiles per salvo is temporarily doubled.
This weapon is suitable for: This weapon exotic is likely suited for both PvP and PvE against enemies at close range. You could effectively shoot through larger groups of opposing Guardians or PvE adversaries.
