In Destiny 2, we present all badge variants of the Nightfall strikes. What do they look like and how can you get them?
With update 1.1.3, not only was Nightfall scoring introduced, numerous new badges were also added to the game. Each Nightfall strike has been given a new emblem that Guardians can now collect and will be able to collect in the coming weeks.
The Nightfall badges have unique designs and track your high score for the respective Nightfall strike. They also display the score target you need to reach to unlock the Nightfall aura.
Moreover, the Nightfall badges have another special feature: Each has three additional “badge variants” that allow you to slightly customize their appearance.

Each strike that can be a Nightfall strike (so every strike except the PS4 exclusive strike) has a standard emblem and three variants.

How to get the Nightfall badges and their variants?
You receive the standard badge by successfully completing the corresponding Nightfall for the first time.
Subsequently, you need to repeat the Nightfall strike multiple times, score as many points as possible, and hope that the variants drop for you. There is no guaranteed way to obtain the badge variants.
The higher your score at the end of a Nightfall, the higher your chance of receiving a badge variant. The chance varies between 0% and 50%, depending on your points. The point thresholds that increase the chances are at 20k, 40k, 60k, and 80k. Bungie does not provide further information on this.
These threshold values are not set in stone; they may vary in the future.
An update full of badges
In addition to the Nightfall badges, several other emblems were introduced with update 1.1.3.
This Crucible badge called “Victorious Veteran” counts your total PvP kills as well as kills sorted by Guardian class and also comes with several variants. If you do not own it yet, you can purchase it from Lord Shaxx once you have opened 10 engrams with him:
For each world, there are new Destination Badges that track found Lost Sectors, opened region chests, and discovered Ghost scans.
