With the start of Season 10, Destiny 2 upset many Guardians. Since the related overhaul of the emblems, many achievements from the past years can no longer be displayed. Bungie has now commented on the issue and presented a solution.
This caused frustration: Recently, Season 10 started in Destiny 2. And while many may be eagerly anticipating the return of the Trials today, another matter has caused bad moods among numerous Guardians.
With the Update 2.8.0, the emblems in Destiny 2 were overhauled among other things. Many of these actually tracked specific statistics and achievements of your Guardians in the game. However, after the patch, numerous emblems were completely empty and only displayed their background image.
Many players are therefore upset. For some emblems and statistics, Guardians had worked for years and were proud to display what they had achieved in their Guardian careers for everyone to see. This is no longer possible with all emblems.
In short: Many personal achievements from the last 2.5 years were simply gone with the patch.
This is Bungie’s statement: In the current “This Week at Bungie” blog, Bungie has addressed this situation.
It states that with the Season of the Worthy, all emblems have been converted to utilize the new stat trackers. This means that all emblems can optionally turn these trackers on and off.
When this system was designed, the goal was to provide players with more ways and opportunities to showcase their achievements.
In selecting the displayed stats, those that represented a performance that could be improved week after week and season after season were prioritized. They also focused on stats that they thought players would want to showcase and that would be significant for other Guardians.
Due to this decision, some stats were no longer included after the overhaul, as they could no longer be completed or improved.
While the studio generally believes in this new tracker system for emblems and introduced it with good intentions, the implementation did not go optimally, resulting in numerous achievements from past seasons no longer being visible.
This is Bungie’s solution: Apparently, nothing that was previously tracked is permanently lost. According to Bungie, all stats are still stored with them. However, some require more effort to bring back. They ask players for feedback to better prioritize.
The studio has now presented a first selection of missing stats that could be brought back in a future patch. However, when exactly this will be, the studio did not disclose. They only said that they plan to bring these trackers back in an update later in the season.

- Season 8 Season Pass rank earned
- Season 9 Season Pass rank earned
- Fractaline donated
Account (for the entire Destiny 2 period):
- Kills as Sentinel Titan
- Kills as Striker Titan
- Kills as Sunbreaker Titan
- Kills as Arcstrider Hunter
- Kills as Nightstalker Hunter
- Kills as Gunslinger Hunter
- Kills as Stormcaller Warlock
- Kills as Dawnblade Warlock
- Kills as Voidwalker Warlock
Crucible (for the entire Destiny 2 period):
- Gold medals earned
- Longest glory win streak
- Total valor rank resets
Locations (for the entire Destiny 2 period):
- Number of “Pit of Heresy” solo flawless completions
