A teaser has been released for Destiny 2 showcasing delicious gameplay footage from the Nessus world.
As part of their “IGN First” format, IGN released a new video for Destiny 2 a few hours ago. This time it is not an extensive gameplay video or an interview with the developers, but merely a teaser – which shows exciting things.
On July 24, IGN will then release the complete, exclusive video. It is about exploring the planetoid Nessus. In other words, for the first time there will be a lot of gameplay footage from an open world in Destiny 2.
Unlike the rather bland patrols from Destiny 1, the worlds in Destiny 2 are set to become more vibrant – there should be something to do everywhere. Many Guardians are particularly excited about these open worlds. The teaser trailer now shows some scenes from it:

Nessus is a planetoid that has been transformed by the Vex into a machine world and features red vegetation.
Initially, we can observe three Guardians starting an Adventure in the video. These are side missions that reveal more about the characters and worlds in the game. This adventure is called “Deep Conversation.” The interesting part is the reward: There is an item needed to unlock the focus nodes of the subclasses. The symbol is at least identical in the following screenshots (and resembles the exotic shards):
Next, we see a Sentinel Titan destroying a few Cabal with his shield. He may be in a “Lost Sector”, as previous IGN video footage showed a Lost Sector that looked similar. In these Lost Sectors, you defeat enemies, grab a kind of key, and then claim the loot.
The next clip shows a Warlock on a Sparrow. His adventure is titled: Collect a large “Energy Front”.
Afterward, you can observe a public event. In this, you have to destroy a Servitor.
The next scene again shows the Warlock trying to complete his adventure. However, he apparently stumbled upon a public event and must now prevent the Vex from reinforcing their underground structures.
Then you see a “Despoiler Captain”, an Arc acrobat in a public event, and the symbol for a “Lost Sector”:These sectors are not displayed on the map. Apparently, you need to look for these symbols in the world to find the Lost Sectors.
After that, there are more enemies in sight. One of the Vex is called “Thyrdron”.
Then, for a very brief moment, a story mission named “Exodus Black” is on screen. In this mission, you have to speak with “Failsafe”:
And directly below the story mission, a landing zone is displayed. There are several of these on the map. In Destiny 1, there was only one landing zone per world.
Finally, more activities are shown on the map, which list rare gear (blue) and engrams (blue, purple) as rewards.
Did you discover any interesting things in the teaser? At the very end, for example, the Arcstrider strikes the ground with his staff and creates area damage.
