In Destiny 2 a sensational leak has appeared that allegedly reveals details about the brand new subclass in the upcoming DLC “The Final Form”. The short video was supposed to only present a cosmetic effect. However, observant Guardians have discovered much more.
What kind of leak is this? The leak consists of a short video that was sent to the account Destiny2Leaks by a friend.
It was probably only supposed to show a new teleport effect. However, attentive Guardians immediately noticed the super and ability bar of the shown Guardian, which was briefly visible in the video.
It seems to feature a new super symbol with a red subclass color scheme that has never been seen in Destiny 2 before.

What can be seen in the video? While the exact details remain unclear, the information could indicate that Bungie plans to introduce a new ability class again with the next DLC in Destiny 2. Something that many Guardians have secretly suspected for a long time.
- Particularly interesting is the blood-red color scheme and an as yet unknown symbol that could hint at a possible new superpower.
If the leak is true, this could mean that players in the new expansion “The Final Form” will receive another brand new array of abilities and a unique superpower, similar to what has already happened in the current DLC “Lightfall” with Strand.
Already, the information has led Guardians on Reddit to wild speculation.
Some players are already dreaming that Bungie will finally combine the paracausal power of the Guardians with advanced Siva technology in “The Final Form”.
As early as 2021, a player created a well-made April Fool’s joke concept of a Siva subclass that would match the new leak perfectly in terms of color. However, Bungie has previously excluded a return of this technology.
However, other players find the symbol reminiscent of the Hive and refer to the red blinking Hive totems that need to be activated in the current Season 21 for the Exo “Malicious Tool”.
- Some Guardians speculate that this third subclass of Darkness could perhaps cause bleeding damage due to its color.
- And some players even accuse Bungie of intent. They claim that the next subclass is being leaked once again to distract from the hatred towards seasonal content.
Strand was leaked too early: Alongside all the speculation, this would already be the second time that a new subclass has been accidentally revealed through a short video.
In August 2022, a very similar video appeared that also revealed a new super symbol and was later confirmed as “Strand”.
The anticipation among Guardians is certainly palpable as they wait to unleash their new powers and influence the fate of the universe in “The Final Form”.
For those who prefer tangible and especially real information about the content of the next DLC “The Final Form” firsthand, they’ll just have to wait until August 22, 2023, at 6:00 PM. Then Bungie will show the big showcase for its DLC, which will conclude the Light and Darkness saga.
