A group of helpful Guardians assisted an 81-year-old in mastering his first raid in Destiny 2. The retiree, a former author, promptly expressed his gratitude with a short story dedicated to the raid team.
With Forsaken, Destiny 2 will soon enter its second year. Thanks to the support of some helpful Guardians, the 81-year-old fan Fibby “FIBBOB” Kinney has had a major wish fulfilled.
Almost a year after the release of Destiny 2, he succeeded in completing his first raid still in year 1. As a thank you, the group received an unusual gift.

Short story as thanks for the help in the raid
Community fulfills a dream for the retiree: For his endeavor, the 81-year-old FIBBOB, a retired writer, poet, comedian, and longtime Destiny fan, sought out helpful allies in a Destiny 2 Facebook group.

The Guardian PXG_S3 was so taken by the 81-year-old’s request that he quickly assembled a team via LFG to help the retiree through the Leviathan.
“Normally, I don’t guide anyone as a Sherpa through raids,” PXG_S3 said on Reddit. “But for this special Guardian, I just had to make an exception. It’s a great pleasure for me to help him.”
And the community once again showed its best side. Quickly, a group from PXG’s circle of friends came together to help Fibby Kinney fulfill his dream. And the team was successful.
It didn’t stop at one raid: After almost a year in Destiny 2, the retiree could log his first raid clear against Emperor Calus. But that wasn’t all.
The team later played the World Eater raid with FIBBOB and helped him acquire the Legend of Acrius. Kinney has also mastered the Starcaller with his new friends, who are all very proud of his achievements – especially in the jumping section and considering numerous complex ball mechanics.

The retired writer thanks in his way: The moved retiree did not let this willingness to help go unnoticed and repaid in kind with a short story he wrote about the adventures of the team in the Leviathan raid.
