Destiny 2 just released the ViDoc for Witch Queen. Despite the clear content, some Guardians among you may have overlooked a few important things. We at MeinMMO were able to analyze the ViDoc exclusively in advance and show you all the content that you might have missed.
This video is about: Today, on February 8th, Bungie released the ViDoc, the traditional video documentation, on Witch Queen. In it, the Destiny developer goes into detail about the upcoming expansion on February 22nd.
We see a mix of cutscenes related to the DLC’s story, and developers as well as other Bungie employees, like Joe Blackburn or Chris Proctor, present new mechanics.
If you look closely, you will find plenty of other exciting information about the highly anticipated expansion. MeinMMO shows you 6 of them.
1. Unknown Exotic for the Warlock
Which Exotic is it? In advance, Bungie released a video about the incoming Exotics for Witch Queen. An exotic armor piece for each class was promised.
For the Warlock, that was the gauntlets “Osmiomancy”. The Warlock receives an additional Ice Grenade with improved tracking. However, another previously unknown Exotic was shown in the ViDoc.
What can they do? In the video, the leg armor was also shown in action, where the Warlock used a different Rift that no one had seen before. The Rift increases your damage and heals you at the same time.
It may be a season-specific Exotic, as a new charge of armors is added to the loot pool each season.
2. Gigantic World
How big is the world? What was shown in the ViDoc suggests a gigantic world. The Guardians fight through the winding areas of the Throne World followed by the gardens of the Witch Queen.
Additionally, the Guardians will also be able to explore the Bayou, a type of swamp, and finally the Palace of the Queen. However, this was only observed from a distance. How large the map is compared to other locations is still unknown, but it seems as big as the Dreaming City.
On this map, players can also expect a new strike, and they can choose between the “Classic Campaign” and the “Legendary Campaign”.
3. The Enclave is from the Darkness
What indicates this? When you take a closer look at the Enclave/New Forge in the ViDoc, you realize that neither the Hive nor other known enemies constructed this workshop. The colors and designs resemble those of the Darkness and its pyramid ships. The name “The Relic” also suggests something ancient, left behind.
If you follow the quest to the forge, associated with the new ability “Deepsight”, it is quite likely that the Darkness built and hid this forge long ago. It was then inexplicably shut down and may now linger as a hidden remnant from the time in the Mars area.

4. New Wing in the H.E.L.M. – A Lab against the Hive?
What was briefly shown? Bungie often showed small snippets of new content and places in the video. One of them was particularly interesting, namely a corridor that resembles that of the Tower.
In this corridor, small details can be seen, such as:
- Water-filled cylinders with creatures in them.
- Pipes and a gloomy atmosphere reminiscent of a secret laboratory
It is possible that in this snippet the new wing in the H.E.L.M. was already shown. This may serve to study the Hive, as well as certain experiments with the light-infused brood. And perhaps the Guardians will also receive their quests and tasks there.
5. Exorcism
Where is the exorcism of Savathûn? The ritual for Savathûn has been awaited for months, and yet a scene was shown in the ViDoc that looks very much like a ritual.
In this scene, Mara Sov, the 14th Guardian, and other individuals are in a building of the Awoken. The crystal of the Witch Queen is also present. This begins to glow brightly and ends with a scene change.
So far, no exorcism has taken place. But this scene shows an episode in Destiny 2 that has not yet been classified. Whether this was really the end of Season 15 and then abruptly transitions into a cliffhanger is uncertain.
6. Ikora carries something unknown – Remnant of Osiris?
Which scene is meant? In one scene, almost all NPCs like Lord Shaxx, Lord Saladin, and Zavala are in the Commander’s office, staring silently at Ikora. She moves slowly towards a door, with her back turned to the viewer.
During her movement, she holds something in her hands. This scene was not known before the ViDoc and certainly shows a scene after the exorcism.
Neither Osiris nor Mara Sov are present. Is this an indicator that the Witch Queen has deceived the Guardians and has disappeared? Maybe Osiris is really dead, and this was a small confirmation of that.
