On June 7, 2024, the contest mode for the new raid “Edge of Salvation” will begin. Players will give their all in Destiny 2 to win the champion belt. For this reason, we present to you 6 builds that you should use on Day One.
What are these builds? Every team that wants to take home the champion belt from the contest mode is currently stressed with preparations. The raid starts on June 7 at 7 PM German time, and there is not much time left.
For this reason, we have selected two builds for each class that are strong in the current sandbox and could prove useful in the new raid “Edge of Salvation”. We will show you the necessary focuses, aspects, and fragments, as well as the exotics you will need. With our directory, you can jump to the respective builds:
Titan
Prism Build
| Focus: | Blade Barrage or Dawnblade Arsenal |
| Aspects: | – Anointing – Knockout |
| Fragments: | – Facet of Determination – Facet of Balance – Facet of Bravery – Facet of Sacrifice – Facet of Courage |
| Exotic Armor: | Synthoceps or Firestorm Gauntlets |
How does the build play? This Titan build focuses on its melee attack Anointing. Through Ecstatic Blade, you gain three melee charges that you can send on their way with the aspect “Anointing”. Enemies burst into flames and take massive damage. With this build, you not only regain hit points but also deal massive damage without getting too close to enemies.
Bubble Build
| Focus: | Shade of Dawn |
| Aspects: | – Bulwark – Offensive Fortification |
| Fragments: | – Echo of Suppression – Echo of Weakening – Echo of Endurance – Echo of Regeneration |
| Exotic Armor: | Helm of Saint-14 |
How does the build play? In this build, you take more of a preparatory role for a DPS phase. With the Helm of Saint-14, your bubble receives a damage buff, and with the aspects and fragments, you take on the role of a supporter. You set up your bubble and give your teammates an overshield, even when they are not in the “Shade of Dawn”.
Warlock
Prism Warlock
| Focus: | Song of Flame |
| Aspects: | – Feeding the Void – Firebird |
| Fragments: | – Facet of Determination – Facet of Dawn – Facet of Protection – Facet of Courage – Facet of Ruin |
| Exotic Armor: | Robes of Harmony |
How does the build play? This build is more about taking on the support role. You increase the damage resistance and ability regeneration of your teammates with Song of Flame, and throw a healing grenade at your teammates when necessary. It is essential to bring solar weapons for the DPS since you can deal more damage with your solar weapons when your super is charged.
Well Warlock
| Focus: | Well of Light |
| Aspects: | – Flame of the Touch – Icarus Dash |
| Fragments: | – Glare of the Burning – Glare of Goodwill – Glare of the Empyrean – Glare of Comfort |
| Exotic Armor: | Sight of the Speaker |
How does the build play? The Well of Warlocks has been heavily nerfed, and although it is not as good anymore, you should still keep it in your back pocket. With this build, you mainly focus on healing and buffs. The helm “Sight of the Speaker” also generates healing turrets, allowing you to continuously heal your allies from a distance.
Hunter
Prism Hunter
| Focus: | Golden Gun: Marksman |
| Aspects: | – Winter’s Shroud – Stylish Execution |
| Fragments: | – Facet of Dawn – Facet of Courage – Facet of Determination – Facet of Protection – Facet of Ruin |
| Exotic Armor: | Lie’s Handshake |
How does the build play? In this build, it’s all about melee combat. You probably think this is pure madness in contest mode, but this build is so powerful that you won’t have to worry in close combat. You slow down your enemies with your dodge roll and execute your death blows with the Lie’s Handshake. After each melee kill of frozen enemies, you become invisible and also regenerate melee energy and your health.
Stasis Hunter
| Focus: | Calm and Storm |
| Aspects: | – Dark Harvest – Winter’s Shroud |
| Fragments: | – Whisper of Chains – Whisper of Lightbreaking – Whisper of Frost – Whisper of Fragments – Whisper of Torture |
| Exotic Armor: | Renewal Grips |
How does the build play? In this build, it’s more about support and keeping the enemies at bay. Your Renewal Grips combined with Early Light Field Grenades create icy domes that provide damage resistance to you and your teammates. This is handy and can be especially useful in encounters where you are overwhelmed by enemies.
These were all the builds we recommend for Day One in The Final Shape. Do you have other builds in your loadouts that you would like to share? Then feel free to share with other Guardians in the comments. More about why the new raid is worth it even for those who dislike raids can be found here: Destiny 2: Why you should try the raid from “The Final Shape”, even if you hate raids.
