For players of Destiny 2, the wait for the next DLC is extremely long. The end of the Light and Darkness saga had to be postponed. But it also has its advantages. During this time, you can accomplish things like cleaning out the vault or farming special treasures. Before you do that, you might want to know this list. It contains rare weapon legends and perk combinations that are really worth it in Season 23.
If you have these weapons, you’re cool: In Destiny 2, hunting for strong weapons and good perks is the main focus. Some are average, others are useless. However, there are also some very rare weapons and perks in the history of this game that you should not dispose of.
- Some weapons are no longer available and so rare that their existence is almost forgotten.
- Others are relics from past seasons and events in Destiny 2 that are still available.
- Or they are very specific and strong perk combos that are so rare that you should definitely save or farm them.
All treasures have one thing in common: They are for some players more than just virtual pixels on the screen. They are expressions of skill, commitment, and perhaps even luck. Therefore, the mantra is: Do not delete them from your vault if you encounter them. CoolGuy has picked out a total of ten of these rare pieces for you in one of his latest videos, and we present them to you.
In the latest dungeon of Destiny 2, there are unique weapons:
Rank 10: The perk “Tap A” on Burst Pistols
Why is it so rare? Bungie made the decision at some point that the perk “Tap A” could no longer be found as often on burst pistols because it was incredibly strong and still is to this day. Currently, there are only two pistols in the game that can have this perk at all.
- The legendary 2-shot pistol “Threshold Watcher” from the dungeon “Column of the Guardian”
- As well as the legendary 3-shot burst Vanguard pistol “The Last Dance”.
After shooting, you get +40 stability, -50% recoil, and -10% accuracy for 6 seconds from “Tap A”. Automatic or rewound rifles have a time delay. Not so with these burst pistols.
They can practically always benefit from the perk and give you maximum stability and a huge aim assist consistently. So if you have one of these treasures in the vault, you should not delete the weapon, but unpack it in Season 23 and have fun with the firearm.
Can you still get it? Yes. Even though the perk is incredibly strong and Bungie does not bring it very often anymore, it is still available in the game. We recommend that you focus on the 3-shot burst “The Last Dance”. You can currently get it from the “Dares of Eternity” if these weapons are in rotation – from December 19 to 26.
Rank 9: “Flinchback-Choke” Shotguns
Why is it so rare? In 9th place, we have the rare shotgun perk combo, “Flinchback” and “Choke”, which should also not be disposed of. Even in difficult situations, it keeps you safe from flinch counterattacks and can still hit hard.
- Thanks to “Flinchback”, you have an overshield when using this weapon.
- “Choke” increases damage by 50% for five seconds after a successful melee attack or three shots fired, +30 improved handling and +30 faster reload speed.
This is a powerful shotgun shot, and the first shot will effortlessly break through the shield due to its force, no matter what content it is in Destiny 2.
Can you still get the weapons? There are only two shotguns that can have this special combination, and those are “Windrose” and “Ikelos_SG_V1.0.3”. “Windrose” hits enemies harder. However, this perk combo was only found on the original version of the weapon, and you can no longer farm it.
The Ikelos_SG_V1.0.3 hits faster and is still available. To get it, stop by the “Prophecy” dungeon. There, it can drop from the additional loot boxes that can be found there. Or you can regularly visit the gunsmith Banshee-44 in the Tower and hope for your luck.
Rank 8: “Psi Hermetic V” Stasis Pulse Rifle
Why is the weapon so special? The pulse rifle “Psi Hermetic V” is the only self-triggering “Gravestone” weapon in the entire game. So be sure to save it.
Why? It has the origin perk “Wildcard” for PvE and can automatically destroy Stasis crystals. This treasure is rounded off by the availability of the perk “Golden Tricorn” which is useful in PvP.
- Thanks to “Wildcard”, there is a chance with annihilations using this weapon to create experimental scatter ammo at the target’s location, and this then instantly destroys your created Stasis crystals. Great in PvE.
- For PvP, “Psi Hermetic V” is also the only pulse rifle with piercing casing, which is also available with the perk “Golden Tricorn”. So the perk “Kill Clip”, but without needing to reload, because the duration of the 50% damage buff can be refreshed by another kill with the appropriate ability.
Can you still get the weapons? Yes. Bungie has packed such treasures into the Legendary Lost Sectors. So you can still farm the weapon there. Additionally, it is occasionally available from the gunsmith Banshee-44 in the Tower. So lucky are the Guardians who should already find this treasure in their vault.
Rank 7: Hip Fire Fioritura-59
Why is the weapon so special? In 7th place is once again a pistol, namely “Fioritura-59”. It is the only weapon in Destiny 2 that drops with “Hip Fire Grip” and “Hand Cannon”.
- The pistol generally has a base aim assist of about 15 meters. If “Hand Cannon” is active, it increases to 22.5 meters.
- But with “Hip Fire Grip”, it’s even more awesome for the fight in the air – even without Icarus grip. You also get bonuses like +25 on stability, +17 on accuracy, and also range.
“Fioritura-59” is the only pistol that is really competitive with this perk combination.
Can you still get the weapon? If you do not have this weapon yet, you can unfortunately only get it by luck. Again, Banshee-44, the gunsmith, is your point of contact.
Rank 6: “Head Seeker” Pistols
Why is this perk so special? When the perk “Head Seeker” was buffed by Bungie, many 2- and 3-shot pistols really took off, as the perk lasts for 0.55 seconds.
- Thanks to “Head Seeker”, body shots temporarily increase precision damage and aim assist, and dealing additional non-precision damage updates the timer.
With this perk, the pistols “Senuna SI6” or “High Albedo” drop, for example.
Can you still get the weapons? Yes. “High Albedo” is still available on Europa. You need to go to Variks for that. “Senuna SI6” is currently available from the rotations in the Legendary Lost Sectors.
